I'm a 20 year trumpet player who has used all kinds of oils. My top 3 favorites in order are Hetmanns, Monster, and Music Nomad. Hetmanns is the most expensive but lasts the longest. Monster and Music Nomad are very close and similar price. MN is a little cheaper so I often opt for it. Both last a long time and do the job.This was my 1st time using the slide grease and it too is similar to the Monster brand. It is a thicker grease that will keep your slides from sticking for a very long time. Apply it thinly to the 1st and 3rd slides, add a dab of oil, and you are good to go. Apply it liberally on your tuning slides and it will never get stuck.10/10 from me. And delivered to my door!!

No one knows it, but this is the best trumpet stuff to buy! Beats blue juice, the rocket crap, and any generic stuff!

ease of use and quality of item

One of my students purchased this product. The oil works fine but the dispensing nozzle got stuck in the cap, so now he has to "dump" the product on his valves. He unwrapped the product packaging in front of me too, so I'm not sure exactly why it got stuck. I did notice the nozzle is sat upon the bottle's top (versus other bottles which embed the nozzle into the top a bit more). Hoping he's able to dig the nozzle out with tweezers or something and if he does, I may come back to adjust my rating.
