and Melissa Foster did not disappoint. I automatically took to Bridgette in the Sugar ...
I had been waiting to read 'Only for You' the moment I was first introduced to Bridgette Dalton, and Melissa Foster did not disappoint.I automatically took to Bridgette in the Sugar Lake series as she is a woman who had once thrown caution to the wind to live out her 'happily ever after' with a musician, only to find herself return home widowed and a single Mum to her adorable little boy Louis. After years of focusing all her love, energy and grief into raising her son and creating a livelihood for herself, it is time for Bridgette to dip her toe into the pool of romance. She is instantly intrigued by Bhodi Booker, something about him captivating her thoughts and awakening her senses.Bhodi Booker is in a Special Ops team, landing in Sweetwater to renovate a property for his mother to move into whilst waiting to return to duty. It was all supposed to be straightforward until Bridgette Dalton turns out to be his neighbor.Bhodi is determined not to allow himself to fall for Bridgette beyond a few weeks of the summer, laying out the rules whilst being her knight in shining armor. Both of them skirt around each other with undeniable chemistry, both of them unsure and afraid to confess the feelings that they are developing naturally for one another.Bhodi is good with her son, respectful and willing to be there the good bits and the bad, he is protective loyal and above all honest. Bridgette is sweet, but she has a side that is crying out to be released and Bhodi is the man to unlock her.The book was entertaining, sweet and I was completely captivated by their relationship. I love how Bhodi is respectful of Bridgette's previous relationship and is easily enamored by her son. He appears to be very alpha male but on the side, he is a romance-loving softie which worked nicely against Bridgette's determined side.I adored learning more about the characters of Sweetwater and the small festivals that they partake in and I love immersing myself in their world. Everything is well written and captivating and I can't wait to read more books in the Sugar Lake series.I recommend to all romance lovers or someone who is looking to get stuck into a well-written series of books.

good read
Really enjoyable read and follow up to the first book. Bridgette I loved in the first book and she really bloomed, forgive the pun, in her own book. Bodhi was a dream of a character with some real issues, however when he admitted the connection he was all in without realising it. Loui added his childlike humour and the book written and totally engaging.

Our here and now!! 5*
Melissa Foster how can you keep coming up with all these stunning stories. Only for You is told so beautifully and I’ve said this so many times before... care and attention to detail throughout the storyline is so apparent.Towards the end of the previous (Sugar Lake Book) Bridgette and Bodhi briefly met but when they realise they are neighbors this only intensifies their already instant attraction. We already know all to well what happened to Bridgette, how she lost her husband so soon after getting married and their son Louie only just a few months old... we know that for five years it’s just been Bridgette and Louie, she’s been happy with that dispite her sisters trying to persuade to step out of her comfort zone. Bridgette has not been interested.... until Bodhi Booker that is!Bodhi try’s to fight his attraction initially, he’s a special operative and can be called away at a moments notice and has always managed to hold off having any type of serious relationship... he doesn’t do them... until Bridgette! However what starts as just our here and now becomes so much more add Louie into the fold and honestly this story is so touching, full of too endearing moments to count.Bridgette and Bodhi’s relationship is so perfect, they are perfect together in every way but there’s this big cloud hanging over them. Time is running out and all you can do is wonder what path Bodhi will eventually choose.... what is store for Bodhi if he gets called up for another mission.I might be smiling now but Only for a You gets incredibly emotional towards the end so be prepared.!Thank you Melissa Foster... looking forward to more from (Sugar Lake)

Only for You
Since The Real Thing I have been dying to read Only for You, and boy did Melissa do a stand up job with it. We have returned to the shores of Sugar Lake in the small town of Sweetwater, where things are really hoting up for Bridgette Dalton and Bodhi Booker. Not only is Bridgette, Williow's sister but she is also a widow and single mother to her five year old son Louis, she hasnt had a relationship since her husband died in a car crash when Louis was just months old, guys see a child as a burden and she doesn't want to put her son through that. That is until Bodhi moves in next door and he is all she can fantasise about.Bodhi is only in town to fix up the house for his mother to move in then he is back to the city, that coupled with his dangerous job of being a special ops rescuer puts him in the mindset of not looking for a long term relationship, but in true Melissa style that is until he meets Bridgette and falls for her hard and fast. They are both so intense and the fire was lit long before they even kissed, that just happened to fuel the fire even moreThis was one hot but sweet read at the same time, how Bodhi is with her son will melt your heart. Being a single mother is hard but Melissa captured the family dynamics and worries of Bridgette perfectly
