Installing sound decoders.
Fitting one in a castle and the other is a hall. Easy to fit and sound quality is good.It takes about 25 mins to download the sound profile but it is well worth it.

Fabulous sound smoother running
This piece of equipment.t makes so much difference. It was easily fitted to hornby mallard that had original sound fitted. Simple matter of removing the original speaker and chip board then replacing the with these. So easy to set up. The loco sounds the business now and running even at very slow is so smooth

Innovative but with problems
Connects via Bluetooth, or DCC and can download sound file however you must sign up to Hornby and it can take any thing up to 30 minuets to download and install a sound file. The ability of being able to download new sound file could be useful but would you want to change the sound of a locomotive for a different type. Or take the decoder out of one loco and put it in a different one .I may just have been unlucky but my first decoder failed after 30 minuets and the replacement worked ok on Bluetooth but but on DCC when I tried to implement the ABC braking function it would not work. After returning the decoder to Hornby trice they were not able to rectify the problem and advised me to get a replacement or refund from Amazon.thefault and recommended I get a replacement or refund from Amazon.
