Lakeland Banana Keep Fresh Drawstring Storage Bag 28cm x 37cm

I am most surprised that this works! My bananas always go off before the week is up, put them in the fridge on their own still go off, put them int he bag and in the fridge and amazingly last 2 weeks. I cannot believe why but time and time again it works. Below is a picture of two banans from the same bunch, one left out in Kitchen bowl the other in the Bag - After one week the difference is obvious, the one in the fridge has normal skin the other one has gone off. Brilliant

I find it a little bit small. I struggle to close it sometimes. But it really does work. I can keep bananas for well over 1 week and they are still fresh. So it saves throwing away food.

This bag keeps my bananas fresh for a lot longer. There is no affect on taste of the fruit. A little bit bulkier than others I have bought in the past but still good value for money.

It does the job, but why the excess of bag above the cord. It’s of no use and just creates bulk in the fridge.

As a family, we eat a lot of bananas, and since the 1st Lockdown, I have only been shopping once a week, rather than topping up mid week, which meant that I was buying 3 packs of bananas at a time. This of course resulted in towards the end of the week, a few over ripe bananas, which much to my kids delight ended up in the famous banana bread.I bought this keep fresh banana bag in the hope that we would have fresher bananas for longer, and I am very happy to report that this actually does work!It is brilliant! I can just about fit two bunches of bananas inside, and as long as the draw string is pulled tight, and it is kept in the fridge, it's like some sort of time stopping sorcery goes on in that yellow bag because the bananas come out as a fresh as a daisy! Yay.On occasion we have had the banana skin discolour, but this doesn't effect the banana inside or taste of the bananas. I would recommend this bag, it's a great product.

I eat a lot of bananas but was fed up of them turning black before i'd finished the bunch. I had heard about the banana bag and tried purchasing one at my local Lakeland store, only to find they'd sold out. I came home and ordered one online. delivery was as expected and it does what it says - keeps your bananas fresh inside the bag in the fridge. Don't be put off by the outer skin changing colour, the banana itself is still fresh.

My parents had a banana bag and it keeps their bananas nice and fresh in the fridge so I thought I'd give this product a go. It's awful! I left bananas in the bag for two days after buying them and they reacted like they normally would in a fridge, dark skin and like mush inside. The bag hasn't affected the length of time the banana keeps ripe. I was expecting the banana to have a dark skin but still be good inside as the leaflet that comes with the product states but it didn't. Would not recommend to anyone unfortunately!

I never believed this would work but it does! Our veg and fruit box lasts much long with the Lakeland storage bags. The banana one goes in the fridge easily. The colour on the outside of the banana is slightly different but the inside remains fresh for so much longer. Used to throw bananas away as they ripened too quickly; don’t anymore!
