we have an orchard and it destroys apples don't put your hand i it even though the blades are plastic they destroy apples

Easy to assemble. Once you figure out the volume of fruit to put in operation is fairly simple. I recommend fixing the press to a solid surface to avoid slipping. I didn’t and had to get help holding it steady

Bought with a fruit press, this has worked very well, particularly as it only needed hosing down briefly to clean before storing.

Plastic cogs which have quite a gap resulting in some larger pieces of apple passing through. Images show metal teeth.It DOES work but takes extra cutting or twice through this alongside other apples.Would rather what looks like original design.Returning as not ideal for our situation now (the apple press we bought isn’t up to scratch)I was offered a discount by customer service which was fair, but having two items that aren’t quite hitting target doesn’t make sense. Helpful company but couldn’t solve my issues.Would consider this if the apple press was better and it was worth then cutting up the pieces that slipped through.Construction is sound, sturdy & easy to use. Just the issue of some larger pieces of apple getting though.

As others have said, I wish it had metal teeth. It feels like this is only going to last a couple of seasons. We ended up putting the apples through a couple of times to reduce the size of the lumps going through all the gaps. The hopper was very hard to put together, the screws are tiny, the threaded studs fall off, the holes don't all line up and you probably will end up cutting yourself at least once!It's OK.

Easy to put together, operate and clean

Fly wheel handle bolt sheared on first use; bolt too thin and too short. Spot welded nuts not properly attached; some have detached. Some nuts not threaded cleanly. Screw threads not clean. Legs of stand not flush fitting and cause significant wobbles in use. Scratter diced apples do not drop cleanly but splatter for up to 2 ft from hopper.

I bought this to replace a worn out one, but oh, the difference in quality. As it comes flat packed the metal sections of the hopper need to be assembled. They are pretty flimsy and the tiny screws are difficult to keep hold of and have little or nothing for them to bed into, so easily fall out mid assembly. The assembly diagram could be clearer, too, as the sections have to overlap to be secure.There's a reason one should pay a lot more money for a better product. Be warned.

Tested with 40L of apples and worked like a charm. I was shocked at first, because I didn't see any instructions, but it was easy to put together without them. Then, when recycling the box, I found it underneath one of the "flaps" on the box 🤣

Disappointed to find that the cutters are plastic. The rest of the machine is very well made but as the cutters are made of plastic and made in China, replacement parts will probably not be available. As an engineer I will be able to make replacements but most people will have to dispose of a perfectly good machine. If the cutters had been made of stainless steel, this would last for many years.
