*EDIT* comfortable—BUT!
****EDIT****I stand by my first review, and thus left 2 of the original 5 stars, because the comfort and relief from constant plantar fasciitis pain is undeniable. HOWEVER– I have had these boots in my possession since October 26, 2022. The pictures I’ve added to my review were taken today, April 20, 2023. In less than 6 months of wearing these boots, the rubber soles have completely fallen apart. Now, I have worn them a LOT, but even if I wore these boots every single day, they should have lasted WAAAAYYYYY longer than 6 months!! If I had spent even $30 on a pair of junky boots, I would be shocked to find them ruined in such a short time. But I spent nearly $200 (before shipping) on these babies, trusting that age old adage, “you get what you pay for”, and believing this purchase to be an investment in my foot comfort and ultimate longevity as a teacher. WELL back to the drawing board! I can’t spend this much money EVERY SIX MONTHS. I’m a teacher, not freaking Jeff Bezos!!The bottoms of these boots are just such crap. What kind of trash rubber did they use? Why bother making such a great inner sole, if you’re just going to surround it in garbage that will inevitably ruin the integrity of the shoe in VERY LITTLE TIME?But oh how I wish this as was the only Vionic shoe I’ve been disappointed by… I purchased a pair of their tennis shoes as well, and the laces tore right through the side of one of the lace holes within WEEKS! I couldn’t believe it, since they’re supposedly real leather, and again they were NOT CHEAP. But I just figured I must be too strong for my own good, or that I must have been tying my sneakers too aggressively all these years and that everyone knows expensive shoes need to be tied by butterflies. Either way, I blamed the way I was treating the shoe rather than it’s quality. And since I’m not a Disney Princess and they were still technically able to be tied, I just moved on with my life.Alas, now that I’m running on two apparently very easily-ruined kinds of shoes from the same company, I’ve decided that the problem is not me. It’s the horrible durability of their shoes. And while I’m on the rant, I value the comfort these shoes give my teacher feet so much that I have yet another pair of Vionic shoes. Some sandals (I bought all of these shoes within a few weeks of each other). While they haven’t fallen apart—yet—I was annoyed to realize that the nasty stank in my classroom after recess was not my sweaty students. No, it was the SUEDE insole of my vionic sandals! SUEDE. I don’t have stinky feet. NONE of my other shoes have EVER been smelly. But some genius decided that suede—an apparently super absorbent, unbreathable, and notoriously unwashable material—would be great for the insole of a sandal… a shoe people wear when it’s hot… and sweaty… 😑.All stacked together like this, it seems clear that the construction and material choices at Vionic are not great. I’m beyond disappointed. I’m livid about spending so much money, only to have to literally throw it in the trash 6 months later. Absolutely NOT worth it. I’ll take the plantar fasciitis pain and being able to afford food, over any shoe Vionic makes, EVER.So… yeah. Not buying any more shoes from Vionic. They won’t miss my business, but I hope they at least feel bad about costing a first year teacher so much money for so little return on investment. 🙄Original review:I’m a teacher and am on my feet most if not all of my work day. I also have plantar fasciitis so I’ve been looking for shoes that my podiatrist would approve of. I wasn’t expecting how tall these boots make me, and I was a little nervous because I’ve read conflicting opinions about Vionic’s comfort, but these boots are awesome. I hiked around in these all day on a field trip and my feet felt fine! The toe is just the tiniest bit narrow for my feet, but a wide is too big. I’ve done a few little things to avoid toe rubbing, and they’re getting broken in, so I wear these most days of the week because nothing else I have is this comfortable!

Half Size? Order Up
I love Vionic but was sad when I could only find whole sizes listed. I am normally and 8 1/2 but I ordered a 9 and they fit great. The extra room is in the toe but the boot is snug enough (especially with a sock) that my feet don’t slide.

Heavy
The bottoms of these boots make them very heavy. As an older woman, I don’t think I could maneuver in them because of that. I am size 11 and could not get my foot into the boot despite the zipper. Attractive to look at.

Stiff
Love style but the way it is made is stiff in the heel area. Very difficult getting feet in. Once I got my feet in, they hurt after 10 minutes. I tried twice with same painful outcome. I was really hoping all the orthopedic support would make my feet feel better.I have purchased vionic slippers in the past and they, too, were stiff between the toes and against feet.I don't think I will be purchasing Vionic shoes again.

Fashionable without foot pain
The media could not be loaded. I work in the food service industry and can be on my feet for 8 to 10 hours at a time, these are the only shoes I can wear that don't cause a ton of foot pain. I'm someone who has particularly high arches so it's hard enough to find comfortable boots or shoes to begin with, let alone stylish shoes. I will admit this is my second pair and they do take a bit of time to break in. If you wear on them very hard for a number of months they will break down. The weather is waterproof but not particularly hardy.

These are super bad ass boots
Got these in a 6.5. Fit perfectly right out of the box. Superior quality. I work in an outdoor school environment so they are excellent and comfortable. I can’t wait to wear these on a rainy day. I prefer an ankle boot instead of the taller rain boots. But they can be worn daily! Just love these boots!

I love these boots! I have worn the crap out of them and they still feel/look great.

Made well, but heavy and tight
These boots are good looking and solid, narrow, and flexible and very heavy. I can’t really wear them much for that long.

I was told it looked like I had put on wellies with my jeans
Nice and chunky, but not a good look.
