I love the wide mouth, it makes it easy to put food into and easy to eat from. It is very easy to clean. The thermos does not keep food hot. I tried soup, mac & cheese, and chili, after about 90 minutes the food is already lukewarm. I tried pouring hot water into the thermos prior to using hoping this would help, it did not.

Parents like the smaller size and lighter weight for school bags. It was recommended by a friend I really happy with it. Heat retention is usually good enough for a school lunch window. Wide-mouth jars are much easier to clean and better for thicker foods like pasta or rice.
