I'm a big fan of fidget toys, which is probably how I stumbled upon this item. I also have carpal tunnel in my right wrist, which flares up occasionally. I thought this product might be a win-win, in that it would satisfy my need to fidget, as well as excercise my bum wrist. But I was somewhat put off by the price (not that it didn't appear worth it, just was a bit out of my budget), and some of the negative reviews regarding issues with quality control. So I wrote the seller, asking about the quality control issues, and they responded immediately, assuring me that their product was of high quality. (Incidentally, I also asked about the "mysterious" symbol on the back of the head of the cobra, and they told me, correctly, it's a common marking on certain species of cobra. Who knew?) So I decided to take the plunge, and boy, am I glad I did! This "toy" is remarkable in its fluidity and symmetry. No issues with quality that I can discern, and not only that, it's perfect in its playability, at least for me...not so difficult that you get frustrated, and not so easy that you get bored. It's just perfect in every way, at least as a fidget. Whether it helps my wrist or not over time remains to be seen, but I have high hopes for that. I've only been playing with a short while, and in this time I can feel that the motion is addressing my problem areas in a gentle way, and hopefully it will help strengthen the muscles and tendons the more I use it. Time will tell. :) What can I say, I love this toy, and I love the cobra design because it is truly snake-like in its movements. It's mesmerizing and fun to play with, and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone for a fun figdet. As for physical therapy, I'm not qualified to say, but I'm using it for that purpose myself, and feel confident about its possible benefits, so take that with a grain of salt. All in all, it's definitely a win-win in my book. And a huge "thank you!" to the helpful customer service agent, who responded promptly and courteously to my concerns. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend, for kids and adults alike.

I’m doing occupational therapy for my wrist and they had me use this thing. I was intrigued enough to buy my own. Now my kids have stolen it and enjoy the game. Easy to use. Almost any kid can use it. And it builds strength in my wrists so there ya go.

Bought it with the intention of giving it to an elementary aged boy. I took it with me to a family gathering. The elementary kid played with a bit, but I don't think it was something he would play with much until he was a little older. I, a 50-something woman, on the other hand, had to take it out the package and play with it right away. Sometimes I seriously try to get the disks lined up and sometimes I'm only half heartedly trying, like while watching a movie, but even then it's a sort of relaxing/meditative thing to watch. All the 20-something nieces and nephews all played with it at the family gathering. Some were quite competitive. Haven't decided what I'm doing with it yet. May keep it for myself. May keep it for a couple years and give it to the intended recipient when he is older May take it school and let my high school students play with it. I bought a second one to give to a middle school age boy. Will see how that goes.

Some folks are difficult to buy for...but, this was a BIG winner. Bought for an active senior adult male. Absolutely loved it. Spent focused time trying to master the puzzle then again...and again...and again. Tried to increase speed and even tried with non-dominant hand. Gave as a Christmas gift and three months later is still using it! It is achievable but challenging. Definitely great for focus, mind and body. Intrigues old and young alike. Would be great to have on the coffee table at a family gathering. Everyone can take a try! Good quality. Nice investment. Great gift. Would definitely purchase again. Perfect for that individual that is tough to buy for...

Just sharing information it was so impressive at the hand therapist office that I bought one it broke trying to get it open. I thought it was just a fluke so I returned that one and bought another one. It broke into like nine pieces very carefully trying to get it out this time.. this must be a knock off of the one that therapists use because it is very fragile and not the same quality. Needs repackaging. Do not recommend.

My review is for the 10 inch wooden toy which is great quality. I bought it for my 5 year old grandson to play with at Thanksgiving and it was a bit beyond him. Perhaps the smaller plastic one would be better for him. For a houseful of adults though - 3 grown sons, 2 daughters-in-law, me and my husband, it was a super fun challenge! It does take focus and persistence, and many tries, but you should hear the cheers when someone doesn't give up and eventually does it! Every one of us were able to eventually get it to line up at least once over the two days we were together Thanksgiving. Once mastered, we started trying it upside down and only one of us accomplished that so you can bet it will come out again and again at our gatherings, trying to best each other. We are really happy with this product and now other family members are buying it for their families too.
