Almost perfect
I liked it ,works as described, sometimes leaves some of the fibers from the roller but it wasn’t a big issue for me.

Not a necessary buy but worth it if you do.
Pros - sturdy/inexpensive/easy to clean/ - applies compound really evenly without much splatterCons - not a standard handle, doesn’t fit on normal poles threaded or quick lock types - didn’t hold as much compound as I thought it wouldOverall I love it. A lil mcguyver action to hook up to a pole and it was ready. Performed great. I laid a section and rolled a decorative roller through it just to test with this method and it worked well. I laid a section then quick 16 inch blade smoothed out and then decorative roller worked perfectly. Then used it to skim the entire ceiling and again it worked perfectly. I’d say buy it because even though other methods can achieve the same results, I feel this roller takes a lot less effort to achieve those same results and it is not very expensive

Applies a very uniform coating of compound - BUT it sheds a little. Holds a decent amount
Its pretty decent and ignore the review that says it does not fit in a 5 gallon bucket. It does no problem. Normally use a 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 roller and it pretty much just mops it on and the consistency of the coating is pretty uneven. This puts on a VERY consistent layer - pretty thin but its a skimcoat. Next time will thin the compound a little more. First used their 36" blades and they are ok but a 12" blade and trowel for me gets a better finish. I machine polish the stainless knife on a polisher and it shines like a mirror and the blade puts on a very smooth finish. Blued steel I think has a little more flex and if the knife is totally polished and cleaned and dried every use it seems to produce a smoother finish than the stainless which is a little more ridgid.Shedding on my first use was minimal but I carry a pair or tweezers and pick them out. Its infrequent and I did not use tape on the roller for fear of pulling out the fibers.I wishj the replacement covers were slightly cheaper - don't know how long a roller will last in the long term. Few rooms maybe - don't know.
