I found nothing difficult about using these, but here's what I did. I used Lavazza Espresso Italiano. That is obviously a fine grind. The maker suggest medium-fine but this is what I had on hand, and it was a coffee I liked. That Lavazzo is South American Arabica coffee. I normally use Nespresso Stormio, which is also South American Arabica, so it was a fair comparision. Now, Nespresso's overwhelming strong suit is grinding technology, specifically getting exactly the right particle sizes for their process. It is likely impossible for a home grinder to duplicate a Nespresso coffee grind exactly. That said, I removed the used foil tops from some Stormio capsules. I could have used any of the 7.7 ounce capsules, like Odacio, since all will be barcoded for proper pumping time and spin-out. I cut an "X" in the center of the foil, so I could peel each quarter off. I did not obsess about getting every sign of the former adhesive off the rim, but I made sure that, if there was anything left, it was the merest trace and that there was no more actual foil. I filled each empty capsule to the recommended level, which is as much as you can load and still not have the holes in the silicone lid press into the coffee. I did it by guess, and I suspect that as long as you get close, you're okay. I gently pressed the coffee down, but not nearly so much as you would with an espresso machine. Just lightly tamped it. With the included little brush, I brushed the stray coffee off the rim and off the inside where the silicone lid ridges will be sealing the lid to the sides of the capsule. The silicone lid just barely snug fits inside the rim of the capsule. Update - Been using these for a some months, and there has been no deterioration. They fit as they did when new. I inserted the prepared capsule into the Plus and brewed a cup. The machine behaved normally. I drink mine with half and half, and the result was not far off of the Nespresso version. Maybe a bit different, but neither measurably better or worse. Quite acceptable. While not everything is entirely equal, the Nespresso extracts approximately the same amount of coffee as an average espresso machine. But it's not an esepresso machine, and it's not reasonable to expect it to produce true espresso. I did some calculation based on the standard Stormio price and the Lavazzo 8 ounce four-pack The Lavazzi can holds 226.8 g of coffee. (currently $5.92) A Stormio pod has 12.5 g. So you get 18 pods per Lavazzo can, assuming you are filling them similarly. I did not weigh what fit in the capsule. With these numbers, I found found that while Stormio is $1.25 per pod, the DIY filled pod held about $0.33 worth of Lavazzo. So $1.25 versus $0.33. For me, that's quite good. If I buy Lavazzo in the 2.2 pound bag, the cost will go down even more. If you are an experienced and highly critical connoisseur, your judgment and subjective experience may affect your opinion of the value of the savings. But, so far, it's been good enough for me to make it at least a part of my Nespresso routine. I bought five silicone lids initially, and I will buy at least another five. Of course, once you have cleaned out a pod, it's good indefinitely, so long as you don't damage it. This is from very brief experience, so I will report back if something turns out different. UPDATE: I have now used these for maybe a dozen cups. Still good and no difficulties. I decided I was being too conservative with coffee quantity and began bringing them up to the 1/8" clearance recommended with no bad effects. I don't obsess about weight, but a proper pod full weight 12 grams. I found little residue left in the machine's pod carrier and found no debris when I did a flush. And I did not find that the Lazazza grind in any way clogged the tiny holes in the caps. I note that the expended Stormio grounds are noticably darker than the Lavazza Espresso. I think this can only mean that Nespresso Stormio is a fully dark roast and that Lazazza is medium. And I can taste the less bite in the Lavazza. That is, of course, taking it into subjective difference. I will also this week pick up a dark roast espresso in my local grocery chain (HEB) store brand. They're pretty conscientious about their house brand coffees. It's a frankly dark roast, and I expect it move more to the taste of Stormio. I believe Lavazza's grind to be medium fine, consistent with their suggestions for moka, filter or press. I don't know grind I will fine in the store espresso. I did observe that the system spin both the Stormio and Lavazza to the same degree of dryness. Visually, the coffee being expelled has about the same color with both. Also, both produce similar foam. Stormio has a little more liquid produced during the final spin-out, probably because it's not precisely Nespresso's grind profile. But still a successful undertaking, and I bought ten more caps. I'm getting more efficient at filling pods, and it's not much of a burden for the $1.25 versus about $0.35 difference. I did up ten fresh pods tonight while my casserole was baking. ANOTHER UPDATE: I wanted a darker roast and bought "espresso" dark in my grocer's label. There was no grind information on the label, but I would call it fine, bordering on medium-fine, but definitely more coarse than the Lavazza Espresso. (Medium-fine is the usual recommendation for reusable Vertua pods.) But the same quantity loaded into pod, produced a coffee that was pretty much what I expected for an dark roast compared to a medium roast. It had some of the Sotrmio character. So, I would say from this small sample that neither the machine nor these reusable pods are all that sensitive to grind size, so far as functioning without clogging or extracting poorly, although I would not go any coarser and would grind to fine, if I was doing the grinding. You're not going to nail true espresso with a Nespresso, but a reasonable approximation. At least a better resemblance to espresso than the tea from the Heart of Gold's automated kitchen was to Arthur Dent's tea. Another little update. Got in a kilo bag of Lavazza Gran Riserva beans. I used the OXO grinder set on four, and I think I hit a good spot. Produced a grind not far from the Lavazza Espresso mentioned before and made good coffee. So far, they have handled fine to medium grinds without clogging. Still. in the 30 cents a 7.7 ounce cup price range.

WOW! Great product. Performance surpasses foil, significantly less coffee ended up in the bin. Easy to clean and reusable.

These work and hold up well. Be careful not to overfill the capsules or they sound like an airplane taking off. I’m not exaggerating otherwise a very good product. Don’t hesitate to buy these. I’ve tried others in. These are the best.

These work perfectly for my Vertuo Pop+. They’re easy to use, I haven’t had any issues so far and I’ve been using them for 4 months.

Product doesn't hold up over time. First day using this was great. I had some OL coffee pods, I cut them open carefully put them into the empty vertuo pods, gently tamped the coffee down got an acceptable cup of coffee that didn't cost 1.40 a pod. Kept up with it these past two weeks, got some medium fine ground coffee to start experimenting with - definitely too coarse of a grind, so we went and bought finer ground coffee that seemed nearly identical in texture to the pod coffee we have been using. Put it in. Worked perfectly. Noticed the one pod lid had risen a little bit (but not actually popped off) figured I'd packed it a little differently or something maybe. Following day - pack my pods a little ahead of time but in the same way I have been doing for about 10 days now. Pop them in the machine after checking to make sure they are still sealed properly. Get the worst watery bitter coffee sludge I have ever tasted. Try a second pod, realise the the lid is partially popping up mid way through and it's not extracting the coffee like at all. Think maybe I had the wrong amount or tamped it differently etc. Make some new pods, try again. Same Deal. Check the holes in the lid, not plugged, check the machine, it's fine, run a regular vertuo pod - brews perfectly. Try the OL coffee with the lid again - now it's also popping up the lids! I have in the past two days wasted about 2 or 3 weeks worth of coffee for us trying to get it to stay sealed again - have come to the conclusion it must be the lids they are no longer fitting in the pods correctly for some reason. Sub two weeks is extremely limited when it comes to reusability. I've seen other similar silicon products with reviews saying the lids no longer work once "broken in" -very disappointing.

These Nespresso Vertuo silicone capsule covers are fairly easy to use and function very well. I’ve been using them for over a month now. I typically use the disposable self adhesive aluminum capsule covers. My issue with the silicone capsule cover is that you have to use less coffee in the capsule which in my opinion makes a weaker cup of coffee or espresso as a result. A measuring scoop would also help because the scoops that came with my “Capmesso” capsule fill kit is too large, so I’m always having to adjust the level of grounds in the capsule so the silicon cap will fit into the capsule properly. If you try to fill it with more coffee it causes the machine to become very loud and it seems to put stress on the machine operation. I’m an admitted coffee snob so flavor is important to me and I prefer a more robust full dark roast profile. If a more mild or light to medium roast is what you prefer this may be the ticket for you. Hope this helps with your consideration of this product.

I don't do reviews too much but something happened that I think is worth writing about. I've been using these lids to reuse on my Nespresso pods for 9 months now. In particular, I've reused the same pod for the past 3 months and finally had an issue today. I had reused it soooo much that the code the Nespresso machine reads got worn down that it couldn't be read properly. So...does this lid do its job? 100% ABSOLUTELY! Saved so much money because I've used 1 pod every day for the past three months using my own grounds. Big believer in these lids.

3 Reusable Capsule Lids for Nespresso vertuo for $13.29 I have used a keurig for many years now and used both regular pods as well as grinded my own beans and used a reusable pod. I got a Nespresso vertuo machine for Christmas and didn’t know what to make of it because if I liked it better than my keurig , I'd be stuck using it and paying 5 times the price for vertuo pods vs keurig , plus much more difficult to obtain and no third party cheaper options. Well the coffee was noticeably better and has ruined me for keurig, so I was on the search for finding a cheaper option as $1.50 or so per pod was a steep price vs the 30 to 40 cents per keurig pod. I decided to try out this 3 pack of reusable lids. The kit comes with three silicone lids , small scoop and little brush. I carefully removed the covers of 5 real vertuo pods and filled the pod with appropriately 15g of grounded coffee. I freshly grounded my own beans for keurig but for this machine I decided to just get a 1.36kg tub of kirkland grounded coffee so the grind was right. I didnt know what to expect from testing these out ,but it pretty much made the coffee exactly like the normal vertuo pods. It made all the bubbles and was very similar and the taste was very good as well. I've probably made 50+ coffees using this method so far and have not had any issues at all. It has worked even time , so I'm very pleased with the results. I can now make a great cup of coffee for about 33 cents vs $1.40+ for vertuo pods which is a major difference especially over time & if you drink a lot of coffee. So , if I drink 3 coffees per day , that would mean using these reusable lids, it would cost 99 cents per day or $361.35 per year. Vs buying Vertuo pods at $1.40 x 3 per day = $4.20. Which would cost $1,533 per year! Major price difference. I grabbed a tub of kirkland decaf of the same coffee and it worked very well too and has great taste especially for a decaf coffee.

Absolut begeistert! Es klappt wunderbar. Der Kaffee hat eine schöne Crema (wie bei den original Kapseln) und meine Maschine hat keine Probleme die Kapseln zu erkennen. Gut, für die Umwelt und natürlich den Geldbeutel 🫣 Ich benutze immer noch Flavour Drops, dann braucht man keine aromatisierte Nespresso Kapseln :) Ich kann den Jacobs Krönung Kaffee vom Mahlgrad und Geschmack sehr empfehlen.

Video shows everything. It works, just like normal pod. But the coffee turned out to be blander. Probably need a few more iteration to get the amount of coffee powder and the grind size right. Nevertheless, the is definitely worth buying! Recommended!

Prodotto fantastico per chi possiede una macchina da caffè NESPRESSO Vertuo Pop e vertuo Next sia essa de longhi o krups. Questi coperchi permettono di riciclare le capsule all’infinito. L’utilizzo è facilissimo bastano soltanto alcune accortezze per evitare problemi ed avere un caffè di qualità usando la miscela di caffè in polvere preferita. Funziona con tutte le misure di capsule (consigliate quelle medie). Le capsule vanno riempite facendo poi aderire bene il coperchio in silicone. Non pressare il caffè all’interno prima di mettere il coperchio ma livellare leggermente con il dosatore. Con la capsula più piccola bisogna fare in modo che il caffè sia dosato bene perché sia quando è poco che troppo tende ad aprire il coperchio facendo fuoriuscire il caffè. Io ormai uso questi coperchi da due anni e produco circa 20 caffè al giorno. Questo prodotto mi sento di consigliarvelo per diversi motivi. Risparmio economico. Rispetto per l’ambiente, qualità del caffè espresso (migliore mai bevuto con una crema altissima)
