Worth the expense
I debated this purchase for a very long time. I have a Ninja I love. I finally decided to get the Vitamix and I will say it has been worth the "hype" so far. First let me say it is louder than the Ninja, that does not bother me as long as it works well and works well it does. I drink a lot of smoothies and I am very pleased with just how smooth and well mixed they are. The size is great, it fits under my counter well. The best part is the cleaning cycle. No more removing blades and washing and each part, I just rinse it off, fill halfway with water, a drop of dish soap and in thirty seconds its finished, rinse, let it dry, done. I am glad a went ta little higher in the price and got the preset functions, its just easy to set and let it go. There is a weird burning small at first but the book does actually explain that will wear off and it has. Considering the price did make me cringe, I feel like it may just be worth it.

Bumpy start but with proper use making the best smoothies ever
Started off having trouble with air pockets and what I assume to be thermal shutdowns. I did RTFM and I was putting the ingredients in with soft stuff (yogurt, banana, avocado) first but it's like it wasn't blending anything but the lower pitcher. Tried different speeds and the smoothie setting and all I was making was noise. Called Vitamix and got to a rep quickly. She said to add all ingredients, use the smoothie setting and when it ramps up use the "tamper" to press the spinach and kale down into the blend. Sure enough that did the trick. After using that process I got the "vortex" in the pitcher and a perfectly blended smoothie.

Better than a Ninja
Best all around option if you need a blender and more. Nothing else measures up, certainly not a Ninja. Spend the money and get the best value proposition if you want a blender and more.

ThIS SELLER, SOUTH WESTERN LIMITED, on Amazon... NEVER again!!!!!
I ordered a Vitamix propel series 750 blender. It worked fine for smoothies for a few weeks and then began to smell like burning rubber in the motor. My problem is with the SELLER, SOUTH WESTERN LIMITED on AMAZON..I printed off the return label along with the sellers return policy of 15% RESTOCKING FEE...... Which would be $90 for the $600 Vitamix!!!!!!I had to spend an hour on the phone with an Amazon representative elsewhere in the world, in order to get a total refund. Hooray for Amazon customer support I will NEVER order anything again from SOUTH WESTERN LIMITED on AMAZON!!!!!

I Get the Hype Now
I’m plant-based and use this almost daily—for way more than I expected. Total must-have for fellow foodies. I’ve become that person who raves about their Vitamix.
