I tried this a while back, but unfortunately, all my bonds broke, and I had to go to Redkens’ expensive therapy. I’m not sure if it works well on very thick hair, but on thin hair, it just breaks them. So, I wouldn’t recommend it for thin hair. But hey, if you have strong hair, it might work (I can’t say for sure, though).

Nice soft perm would by again

This is a Brilliant perm kit been using pinup for years but it seems they have changed the recipe for their perm but did not work anymore on me. I tried this perm for the first time and it’s a great result will be using it again definitely

It does curl gray hair and coloured hair as I have both. I will definitely be buying it again, it worked well, just like my high school days. Yes it smells the same, stinky lol.

It's impossible these days to find home perms in a retail store, so I'm thrilled I can still find them on Amazon. This works great on my fine grey hair. I followed the directions, it's easy and quick. You do need to have your own perm rods and end papers. There is not a strong lasting odor once it's done. My perm lasted about 3 months and was just as good as any salon perm.

No muy segura de si funciona. Por una parte parece que no use el rulo exactisimo que debía ser, use una más suave, que destiñó el material y el cabello queda extremadamente maltratado y quemado. Posiblemente es mejor hacer esto con un profesional

Tried different time scales but my hair was as straight as before the application.

I'm lucky enough to not have an oily scalp so I can get away with only washing my hair once or twice a week, then using a straight iron to smooth it. However, in the summer, because you get sweaty, or go swimming, I prefer to wash it pretty much daily. I'm not one that wants to deal with drying, and straightening on a daily basis, so I get a loose professional perm in the late Spring. At the end of summer, I want to go back to straighter hair. I do this myself, using perm solution on damp hair, and comb it continuously for the 20 minutes you would keep it in with rods. Rinse, neutralize, rinse, and the perm is fine. Definitely need to wait at least 3 months between the perm and "unperming" to decrease damage to your hair. I really like this product because it is very gentle, yet still effective. This is the second year I've used this product, and am sure it will be next years choice as well.
