Just like my original power adapter
Bought to save and restore an old Raid box and it seems to be doing the trick. I bough this for a US version of the 5big and it has worked fine.I bought this to replace a bad power adapter after thinking my drives were going bad and that was not the case the box was not receiving enough constant sustained power to run the box. Try this before replacing drives.

Good price, LaCie PS fail too often
The power supply is a very good price here but I should not need one... I have a 4BIG raid and it suddenly failed. LaCie wanted to do days of troubleshooting (even after I asked about the power supply) including trying to tell me I lost all my data. On my own I but a new PS and wow, amazing, truly crazy everything suddenly worked. Yes, La Cie PS suck, but this is a great place and price for and extra one when you need it so overall okay.

Failed after two months
I work in a large university department managing several servers and NAS devices for research labs. I have had the unfortunate displeasure of managing a Lacie 5Big Network (7.5 Gig edition) NAS device. The device had been troublesome in the past, always needing to re-synchronize its drives in a raid 6 array - this process takes up to an entire week.At one point all of my drives failed which did not seem statically plausible - I did notice that my power supply was making an electronic clicking noise. Upon further investigation, it seemed that many other users had experienced a similar issue, that the power supply failed to supply sufficient power to the NAS device.I purchased this Lacie replacement power supply December 2013. After swapping the bad power supply for the replacement unit, I noticed that the electronic clicking noise was no longer present. The drives hummed to life without the need to resynchronize - the NAS device was working as expected.February 2014 I noticed the red blinking LED on the Lacie NAS device. Two drives were reported to have failed. I turned the NAS off and back on and the drives began to resynchronize. I noticed that the replacement power supply now emits an electronic clicking sound much like the original power supply. I find it hard to believe that my drives have failed based on this fact. What I think is more likely the case is that the replacement power supply I had bought just two months prior has already failed.Very disappointed with Lacie's quality control. Save yourself the money and consider purchasing a different NAS.

Works, but OEM Garbage
Bought to replace the dead OEM part for my 4big Quadra that would no longer power on. Turned out to be identical to the part that originally failed. For as expensive as these are, they seem to have an operational life of only about 2 years. Back up your data!

Just what I needed
I wish I checked another power supply before purchasing because I had exactly what I needed here in my office, but it works good. It was new in the packaging and hasn't failed yet - like the original did.
