Buzz! Quiz World (Game Only)

I like the new Buzz, it is a ton of family fun. I like the different game options you can choose. Instead of the same boring rounds, you have the option to mix it up a bit. Plus, rounds are longer. Further, the add-on packs I purchased (from Sony store) work in the new game as well. There is more category variety, which is nice. Plus, you can run 8 players in a game, instead of just four.I played online a few times and liked that as well. You don't have flexibility on the rounds, but an 8 person free-for-all can be challenging and fun.I don't like the characters. They have some new ones, but for some reason, eliminated older ones. This is a minor point, but I really can't understand deleting characters.Overall, great game. Family fun with categories for everyone. The ability to play 8 people means you might want to buy the game with a 2nd set of controllers. However, you can save $20 if you just buy the game. But, you must have buzzers.

This game is lots of fun for the whole family. You can have up to 8 people play. You can select your name and have the game say it during play. It also is very intelligent with its comments and "play by play", light heartedly ribbing the players for their mistakes and congratulating them for their successes. For example, "Mike! For someone who picked this category, you sure don't seem to know very much about it." and "Maria! There is just no stopping you today!". Good mix of hard and easy questions, lots of different variations on the games throughout.

Hey, title aside, this is an exceptionally fun trivia game. The game show feel with buzzers are great. My only two gripes are that you don't actually use the big red buzzer on the buzz controller for any thing during a game which sort of kills a bit of the novelty from the buzzers. Also, the questions can be really too easy. Anyone who has any appreciable test taking skills in regard to multiple choice testing at least have a 50% chance of answering the question correctly. Furthermore, did I mention that the answers can be just plain easy. For example, I picked a category called "Hard Science" thinking this would be my chance to really gain a big advantage over my opponents and rack up points since I have a very strong science background but, unfortunately, the questions were so easy that even someone with no science education could have answered them correctly. So during that round, all contestants answered every single question in that category correctly.Still, this game is good mindless fun for a group of folks but if you are a hard core trivia person, there may be something left to be desired.

I think is a real good game and I love it, But Im not happy with the Issue that You cannot Play without buy an special controller... I bought the game and now I have it in a corner of my desk cause I dont have the control and I will not buy that...

I believe the title says it all. This is actually my first review on Amazon, but I chose this particular product to write about for a reason: it is simply fantastic. I feel a strong urge to share just how incredible my experience with this game over the past year or so have been. This game is perfect for nights where friends come over and can hang around, have a drink, and test each other's knowledge on various subjects! Ever wondered if your best friend has any common sense, is a a fashion guru, or a history buff? Wonder no more, because this game will bring out those answers soon enough! Not to mention it offers online play, where if none of your friends are available, and you don't feel like playing with yourself (lol), you can compete with up to eight other individuals...around the globe! I'd be lying if I said I haven't received compliments or heard many stories of fond memories of people who have dropped by to play this game with me. It truly highlights an evening! Alright...I think I've pretty much made my point, however just in case the message wasn't clear...BUY THIS GAME, you won't regret it!!! :)

Game is fun. Trivia questions seem a bit particular and not as popular in terms of demographic, should've been more balanced. Other huge flaw is that the online version of the game has been discontinued as servers are now shutdown, so online play versus other players via an internet connection IS NOT available. Online play is especially important when you have no one at home to play with you but would still like the fun of competing against an actual person.So if that doesn't bother you and you just need it as a party game, its a decent buy.

Was very happy with game. Fun for the whole family. Also, wasn't expected until after Christmas, but Amazon got it here in plenty of time!

I only received one video game today scene it.

Well worth it if you have compatible system. My 10 year old is well on his way to becoming a trivia master.

You need the controller to play which is not available. So its of no use.

This game only works with BUZZ controllers! Now that we have that out of the way, this game is pretty good. One might expect better graphics from a ps3 game but I found the animations and characters to be charming nonetheless. This game is great for casual gamers.
