Inspiration for Years to Come
I got my first copy last week and just ordered 5 more to give as gifts. This book is an incredible resource for anyone considering a visit to the Napa area. In addition, it is an all around inspiration for adding more fun and creativity to life. I will be referring back to it for years to come.

Add Napa Valley to your bucket list and bring this book with you!!
My husband and I lived in the Napa Valley for five years! We were lucky enough to enjoy the many beautiful seasons that Napa has to offer and the beauty of the country side! After reading From Napa With Love Alexis opened our eyes to the behind the scenes and the fun the happens in the estates that you see along highway 29! And we look forward to returning to experience Napa with a whole new perspective! This is a must read if you have never been to Napa and for those who frequently get the opportunity to go! Add Napa to your bucket list and bring this book with you!

Instead of “From Napa With Love,” the author should have titled this book “I Love My Privileged Life.”
I recently purchased a home in Calistoga, a charming little town that is apparently “on the wrong side of the tracks,” rating so much lower than St. Helena that one of the author’s featured “people to know” actually used to lie and say he lived in St. Helena rather than admit he was from Calistoga. I bought this book hoping to get a bit more insight into the area I now call home. Sadly, the only insight I’ve gained is that there are a whole lot of uber-wealthy, privileged white folks with summer homes in Napa, one of whom is the heiress to the Swanson frozen dinner fortune. She loves her privileged life so much that she wrote this book as a vanity project. Oh, and apparently you can buy glass dixie cups. Who knew?Let’s delve a little deeper into this supremely disappointing tome. Who exactly are these people we should know? Overwhelmingly, the people featured in the book are intimately connected to the author: her immediate family (mother, father, sister, sister, husband, and she even featured HERSELF) and friends of the family (mom’s BFF), and various professionals who provide services to the author and her family (the author’s very own interior decorator, architect, wedding planner, wedding cake baker, caterer/chef, etc.).And where should we go? Don’t go to Calistoga. Go to the most expensive hotel you can find. Ideally the room should cost more per night than your monthly mortgage payment. And eat at the French Laundry. For lunch though — not for dinner. How very low key. And how should you get there? Duh — drive your Audi R8 or your Mercedes AMG. The backroads of Napa are so much better in a sports car that costs more than your home. This entire book was one big miss for me. After reading it, I couldn’t identify a single person I actually wanted to get to know or a place I wanted to go. In fact, the folks and places featured in the book are so utterly soulless that I’m second guessing my decision to make the Napa Valley part of my life. If you’re planning a trip to Napa, save your money and use this $25 to buy a wine tasting flight. Then get to really know the charming person who's pouring your wine at the tasting room. And be sure to ask him/her for insider tips for the rest of your visit!

just like the author
This book has charm, and creativity, just like the author. So fun to explore Napa in such a unique way! Not your typical Napa Valley book!

This is a beautiful book visually and I loved the discoveries that were new to me even though I've visited Napa many times. It's like my go-to style guru whispering the best places to eat, drink, stay, and meander in my ear. Your friend who always has the inside track on the less traveled path where you always end up having just the best time. Thought I would keep it as a reference for my next trip to the wine country but I confess I read it cover to cover. Really loved it!
