I don't understand why the water is dripping even i turn it off there is water coming out unless I wipe it out it won't stop.

Great machine

Bought this as a gift for my mum. I was a bit confused by all the branding on Nespresso machines and was not sure if this was a fake, but called Nespresso direct and they explained that they don't make machines, they created a machine design and get a range of other manufacturers to build them, the ones on the Nespresso website are branded Nespresso, but you need to by an expensive coffee subscription to get those ones. All the machines are the same, but there are like 3 different manufacturers and this is one of them. Does what it says on the tin, put in water and a capsule and out comes coffee - looks nice too and is quite compact if you have limited work surface room. I have one of the bigger ones from a few years ago that has the milk frothing functionality for lattes and stuff, but it takes so long to clean the milk section that I never use it, so you're better off just getting one that does straight coffee.

I used to have two Nespresso coffee machines with the lever method design and they both failed to work after just a short time. Knowing how much a repair usually costs and a substitution not being the ideal solution, I decided to go up one notch and chose to go with the Citiz model, which also included the milk device to make a cappuccino. It came in a sturdy box, completely sealed and included Safety and Operating instructions. The only downside was that I discovered that the power plug was an industrial one and not really one that would fit the majority of household inlets. So be warned, if you want to buy one, you better prepare to invest in a power plug adaptor which is easily available on these pages (better a three-pronged one which includes the earthing plug). Once put together (it comes with a separate frontal platform for taller cups and having followed the first preparation steps as per instructions, I wanted to test it to see if it did what was promised. I had various coffee capsules at hand, and not just be Nespresso and wanted to see if there was a functionality difference between them testing both the "ristretto" and the "lungo" buttons after activating it the first time. I discovered that it functioned flawlessly on all of them with both solutions. Moreover, I also discovered that the machine was by far more quiet than the two previous ones, although still "rumbling" somewhat. There are to stands: one is the platform I described before which has a stainless steel grate that has to be placed in its cradle and it is for tall cups or glasses, the other, inside the machine itself has the same grate (also in stainless steel) which can be folded up or down . If down, it is made for normal or espresso cups. This particular one can slide out revealing the chest in which the capsules go once used, which is in solid plastic. The loading mechanism is more practical than the frontal lever one. This too is made in stainless steel and one just lifts it up and drops the capsule in its receptacle and then lowers it again paying attention to close it completely. The rest is up to the user, whether he wants a large, medium or small cup of coffee. Together with the coffee machine and solidly fixed to one side, is the milk frothing machine which is really easy to use. Other than that the rest is as in the other machines and one has never to forget to put enough water in its dispenser in order to avoid unpleasant surprises and a possible machine malfunction. Cleaning of the same is very easy and requires just a few minutes if not seconds. But beware, this one is a very heavy and sturdy machine, and indeed a bit larger than those I mentioned before, so be prepared to find an ideal place for it and exercise your muscles once unpacked from its box. The result of its coffee dispensing is always a perfect one. Maybe it is my imagination, but ever since I have started to use it my coffee always seems to taste fuller and better, and believe me, I need a lot of coffee to charge my batteries in the morning. I therefore can only say that among the many machines I had so far, this one is one of the best and I hope it will function for a much longer time than its cheaper predecessors. In this particular case I can safely say that it was money well spent. Quality, especially with some devices comes with a price, and if these function as they should, then it is well worth it.
