working
my job requires that I wear steel toe shoes , steel toe shoes hurt my feet and cause numbness and pain. The protective safety covers allow you to wear your favorite shoes and give you the foot protection that you need. I am very thankful I thought to give these a try and it is working so far , Ive been wearing these for about 3 days at work , so far so good .

Good product for intermittent trips to the factory.
I work as a physical therapist consulting for factories. I'm out on the floor a lot and normally just wear my steel toes. One of my sites bought these for guests and I've used them for when I forget boots or have a guest. These fit firmly and don't clomp around noisily as others I've used so I bought a pair to keep in my truck for unexpected need. Only issue I see is that the straps can break away from the shoe and then you are stuck with no way to hold them on.

Best option for safety shoes for travel
I travel for work in industrial environments where PP gear a requirement. Packing my work boots is too much of a pain (they take up too much space in luggage and weigh a ton). All my customers in paper mills and steel mills accept using these. Easily fit over street shoes. But these are only "steel toes" and do not help with slippery floors like my pair of work boots. They pack small and fit into my carryon luggage or backpack,

Want to make your boss mad?
Want to wear your super comfy shoes in an industrial workshop?Buy these.I worked in a metal fab shop and was tired of wearing steel toe boots because they were heavy and uncomfortable and did not want to wear those steel toe sneakers.I wanted to wear my super comfy New Balances while I had to stand on my feet for 12 hours a day screwing bolts and such. The first day I wore these on my new balances, my boss threw a fit! He tried to tell me I was unable to wear them because OSHA, and that they weren't up to regulations. I asked to see the regulations and he sulked for the next week. I however was enjoying each day that week because I got to wear my new balances.Anyways, these do work, I have dropped a couple pieces of metal on my foot since then and my little piggies are fine.

There just "OK", keeps you from buying steel toe shoes
UPDATE 12/20/22-- Ok I've had these for a year now and the rubber on the side that conforms to the metal front has torn. I've tried glue but still splits apart. So I guess if you do a decent amount of walking at work, they'll last about a year. I'm trying a last ditch attempt with gorilla tape to try to fix them before I spend this kind of money again. Also I've kind of got use to the slight extra weight of these now. My rating still stands the same. They look great and will probably last indefinitely BUT they do tend to "curl" upward on the front. I've adjusted it every way possible on my fairly new sneakers. ALSO, they are "Significantly" heavy! It's like strapping a couple pounds to each toe. I rated these as fair as I can.

So far so good
Ok, I bought these because I have to wear steeltoes at work and nothing I could find was comfortable. I stand in 12 hour shifts so you can see the what I'm up against. I bought these even though I read all the reviews. I figured what the heck, I'd give it a try since wearing my tennis shoes seemed like a great option. I was first concerned with the straps but I didn't snug them up really tight and they stay on just fine plus when I have to walk, it doesn't tug on the straps. Only time will tell if the hold up but I'm hopeful. I've only worn them for 2 nights so far and I can't believe how much better my feet feel not having to wear hot/heavy boots or uncomfortable steel toe sneakers. I can't even tell I have them on my feet. I've had several coworkers ask me about them and I let one wear them on break. He's sold on them too. If you're looking for something more comfortable, try these. Just a word of caution though, don't strap them on really tight because that's where I think people went wrong and the straps broke. I may come back and revise this review but for now it stands at 5 stars. So far, my feet greatly thank the makers of these toecaps.

Didn't fit the shoe size it claimed to fit
I bought this size since it was claimed that they fit size 13 shoes. I was originally going to use these over some hiking boots but those were too big for almost any of these slip on steel toes. Then I tried using them over a set of sizes 13 tennis shoes and they were much too small for that. I had to use them so I just sucked it up for the 30 minutes I had to use them but they were not comfortable to walk with.
