Audubon, On The Wings Of The World [Graphic Novel]

I got this books because my son loves graphic novels and I really wanted him to read about Audubon(we're bird nerds!). I didn't pay much attention to the listing so I was just expecting your typical, paperback book. It's much larger than I expected, hardcover, and beautiful. A pleasant surprise! We love it and I think I might read it first!

Beautiful pictures. The callous imperialism was more than I can take. I love to use it to hold up my computer for zoom meetings and as a clipboard.

It was beautifully illustrated. The story was ok, but it left some things out.

I purchased this book as a gift for my cousin who is a bird watcher. I love Audubon and was not expecting this to be a strange comic book.

I purchased this as a gift for a child, who was very pleased with it indeed!

Made a nice gift for a friend who is a birder.

Wonderful story

What a beauty. Purchased as a birthday gift and it's such a beautiful book it would easily stand alone as a gift for any occasion. It's a good size and hefty weight. The paper and print quality are lovely, and the illustrations are exceptional. What I skimmed of the story was fascinating too, a real adventure. Only quibble is the book arrived with a few light scuffs to the cover. It could use a dust jacket to protect the matte finish from the Amazon warehouse handling!

This was a Christmas present for my son but I did have a quick look at the book and thought it was exquisite both in presentation and the wonderful narrative expressed out of personal experience which is where all good storytelling comes from. I was also pleased with the competent delivery service by wordery books which is where I purchased the book from.

I didn't realise it was a comic strip style story but it will be great to pass down the generations.
