Excellent Smooth Brushes
I have only just used these brushes, which is why my review is a bit late. I had read good reviews from other people and as expected, they are lovely brushes. I just used them whilst testing out some of my watercolour paints. The brushes hold the paint well and rinse easily. Even when the bristles are moved around in the paint, or spread out whilst cleaning, they maintain their shape to a good point. Also the maneuverability of these brushes is great, although for fine detail I prefer to use shorter hair brushes. These were particularly good for long, sweeping motions though. Also to note; The Art Shop Skipton has, for me, always been excellent at delivering quality products at good prices and their products often arrive well before estimated date of delivery, I highly recommend them and will continue to shop with them.

Pleased
It arrived on time and well packaged. These brushes are not expensive but they are still a good brush for my oil painting.

Horses for courses. Good for scribble marks.
Generally I buy the best watercolour brushes I can afford with one exception - riggers. Like many painters I use them for scribbiy marks- tree branches and foliage - rather than the long straight lines of rigging. If this is the effect you're after cheaper synthetic brushes that are not too long work best. So when I saw this set for less than the price of one "good" brush I was tempted. They turned to be ideal. Nicely made, good quality springy medium length bristles and in a useful range of sizes that were neither too big or too small. (I had been using the longer Royal & Langnickel ones but these work far better for my purposes.)

Great job for price.
I ordered these for an artist friend who needed this type of brush. He got them for a great price, and thought theyโd probably be good for a single use each, then dump them. Nope. He loves them. Says they performed as well as more expensive ones heโs used. He cleans them and looks after them like the rest of his gear.

Good quality for the price
Arrived really quickly & excellent quality considering the price. Great for watercolour & although not used yet, I think would be ok for Acrylics as well. Thank you ๐

Rigger brushes?
Rigger brush heads are very small and really not long enough to be called Riggers. More like fine liners
