Absolute must have!
Love love LOVE this monitor! We recently upgraded to the dual camera monitor from the single camera one to accommodate baby #2’s arrival. Only complaint is the parent monitor doesn’t have the best battery life but that’s the only “issue”. I love that it’s great quality, has an amazing range for the view angle, that it’s NOT WiFi capable and that it overall works amazingly. It’s easy to mount on the wall and you can also buy a floor stand for this from V-Tech. It’s got great sound quality and is super easy to set up! I’ve recommended it to every single parent to be that I know!

Extremely Frustrating - Spend Your Money Elsewhere
I have never been more irritated with both a product and the company behind it. I purchased this unit in January 2025 because it seemed perfect: a 2-camera system with good picture quality, split-screen functionality, non-WiFi, and temperature alerts. Initially, everything seemed great. I set up one camera in my son’s room and left the second in the box until we were ready to transition my daughter to her own room. Since my son is older, we only used the monitor at night, and it sat on our nightstand until October 2025. When it came time to use both cameras simultaneously, I discovered a major limitation, in split-screen mode, you can only hear audio from the camera you are actively toggled on. Because our master bedroom is on the opposite side of the house, we couldn’t hear both children at the same time and that was a big issue. This forced us to purchase a separate audio only monitor just to ensure we could hear both rooms. Fast forward to May 2026, and now the audio on this system has begun cutting out completely for random periods of time. The video continues to display, but the sound disappears entirely. I tried everything, including a full reset, which seemed to temporarily fix the problem... until it didn’t. Most recently, at 10:15 PM, the audio stopped again, forcing me to make a late-night trip to Walmart for yet another audio monitor so we could ensure we could hear our daughter during the night. To make matters worse, customer support was unhelpful. The representative ran through the basic troubleshooting questions, and when I explained I had already tried everything, I was told, “Unfortunately, it’s outside of our one-year warranty, so we can’t help. You can purchase a new unit on our website.” No offer for a discount, no alternative solution... just nothing. Save yourself the trouble and the panic of not knowing if you’ll be able to hear your children. This system does not work reliably, and the company provides no meaningful support once the warranty expires. I would strongly recommend looking for a better monitor system

Great product
Lasted for a good while and got plenty of use. Eventually the antenna broke (kiddo) and it stop functioning. We purchased another leapfrog (different model) because we enjoyed it. Nice with two cameras ( gave a couple angles in the crib) when he moved and because no WiFi easier for travel. Nightvision was great and easy to use.

Better for older kids, not babies
Let me start off by saying I have used 3 different brands of baby monitors, and of those three I guess this would rank 2nd. Pros: The picture is clear It has night lights in different colors you can control with the monitor It has motion activation and noise activation It has sounds you can turn on and off with the monitor It has the split screen, which is the entire reason I bought it for my 5 month old and 21 month old Cons: Basically only one but it is a deal breaker for me. YOU CANNOT SEE THEM BREATHING no matter how hard I tried to see if my 21 month old was breathing, I couldn't. I would have to go into her room and check, which defeats the purpose of the monitors completely! If that is something that doesn't bother you, then go for it! The monitor is great other than that. As for me I will stick with my Infant Optics DRX8 PRO. You can easily see them breathing, and it has ANR (active noise reduction). So when I have her sound machine on, I cannot hear it through the monitor. So I can clearly hear her when she talks to me, or cries! The only reason I tried switching to the Leap Frog, was so I didn't have to flip the screen back and forth as Infant Optics does not allow for split screen. However, I would rather flip them than not see them breathing!

Battery Lasts FOREVER!!!
This monitor has it's pros and cons but the battery life absolutely makes up for the cons. I took my monitor off the charger around 7:30PM. I forgot to plug it back in so it was on ALL night until my youngest woke up around 8:30AM. I turned it on again for their 2.5 hour nap and then again when they went to bed around 8PM. It wasn't until 1AM I got the alert that the battery was low. THAT'S A 19.5 HOUR BATTERY LIFE (if my math is mathing right...)! Definitely THE longest lasting baby monitor battery ever. I've Tried Baby Sense, Infant Optics, Summer Infant, Etc., all only lasting ~3hrs MAX. Pros: GREAT battery. Obviously High quality picture Split screen option Cons: Kind of laggy in general Extremely laggy when on split screen display The lowest sound setting is too loud and the highest sound setting isn't quite loud enough I WILL SAY, my children are now 3 and 5 so I don't rely on them as much as I did when they were infants. For infants, I 100% recommend the Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO. VERY reliable, clear and not laggy... but you WILL be charging often. I would NOT recommend Baby Sense. Their customer service is great, however, I went through FOUR monitors. They all had amazing display but would only last 1-3 weeks before shutting off and never turning back on. That is all. :)

Great Split Screen Monitor Option
We started looking for a monitor that would allow us to see both of our daughters’ rooms without having to toggle between pages and stumbled upon this Leapfrog one. It has a great clear picture for both cameras and the nightlight is a great addition. The battery life seems average- nothing to write home about. We’ve had no issues with connectivity in our average size home. We wish we would have just bought this system when we had our first, knowing we’d have a second eventually rather than spend $150 on a one camera system that requires a $100 additional camera and doesn’t show both cameras on the screen. This is definitely a high quality monitor at a great price if you need to be able to see two babies at once.

Great monitor!
This monitor is amazing. Crystal clear picture. I love that night vision can be in color. Sometimes I wonder if I forgot to turn off the light. The 2 camera set up is nice! Sound is picked up very well. Very sensitive microphone! We've had 3 or 4 infant optics and a Motorola over the last 11 years and 5 kids. This one beats them all by a long shot. The only thing I don't like is a 1 second or so lag in sound and video. I hear the sound baby makes then I hear it in the monitor a second later. Not a huge deal, just kind of annoying at times.

Battery life deteriorates quick
BATTERY LIFE!!! We have had 3 of these monitors within a year and they all start to do the same thing. Even with the screen on power saving and sound off the battery starts deteriorating rapidly. We can charge it fully and then it will only. 4-6 hours before it starts flashing because it’s about to die. I love the camera quality and customer service has been amazing sending us new cameras after the other ones did the Same. But after all 3 doing the exact same thing within a year it’s not worth it to have this monitor.
