I recently ordered this clear hard shell plastic case for my Nintendo 3DS, and I am very pleased with how it performs as a basic protective layer. The primary reason I opted for a see-through design was to still be able to see my consile, but protect it from unsightly scratches and scuffs during daily use. I found that the two pieces snapped onto the handheld remarkably well, providing a snug and secure fit that doesn't rattle or slide around when I am playing. All of the essential cutouts for the charging port, stylus, headphone jack, and game cartridge slot are perfectly aligned, so there is no need to remove the shell to access any of the device's features. While the plastic is quite rigid, it remains lightweight and doesn't add any significant bulk to the console, allowing it to still fit comfortably into my usual travel pouch.
