It's thicker than the lotion in the light pink bottle, if you've used that before. It does a good job hydrating my dry skin. It leaves me looking dewy for hours, which I love. And somehow my acne-prone skin has gotten clearer in the couple of weeks that I've been using it. I would say that this is suitable for sensitive, acne-prone skin. in the winter, at night I cover my face with Aquaphor after putting two or three thin layers of this on and when I wake up in the morning, any dry patches are gone. It does smell distinctly like sake ferment, though the smell disappears a little while after you apply. I personally enjoy the smell, but I know many people don't.
