My current filter for our Combi boiler is a fernox and leaks like bilio. Is the Magnaclean less likely to leak or do they all do this to some extent?

What’s the difference between this and the original red one

This one uses compression fittings so is a much easier installation, and it has a sheath/filter over the magnet amongst other design improvements

It doesn't seem to say if the pipe fittings are 15mm or 22mm . Can you advise please?

Standard size is 22mm can also come in 28mm. One advertised is 22mm.

Can it be fitted to plastic piping

Firstly, the unit needs to be supported with wall clips and although it’s possible using end inserts in your pipes, I would not recommend this method...... Use straight fittings onto your plastic and then copper from your fitting into the unit itself
