JBL 45mm helmet speakers fit perfectly inside the helmet without the booster pads. I removed the foam covers from them since the cheek guard panel goes over them anyways (does not seem to have any affect on tone or volume). Not only that but with the speakers in place, they're perfectly aligned with my ears and fit relatively closely to them without causing discomfort. You hardly even feel them, but they sound amazing. I love this helmet, especially with the American classic style artwork. Looks sick with a nice leather jacket. Buy it. It's comfortable. It's rad. It meets EU safety standards (which are more strict than US standards).
