Transmission Fluid Transfer Pump Air Operated, 8L (2.1 Gallons) Automatic Pneumatic Vacuum Oil Fluid Extractor Dispenser ATF Refill Kit with 15 ATF Adapters

I'am a do it yourselfer (DIY) with a 2023 Hyundai Santa cruz SEL AWD with a 2.5 non turbo. I'am doing all my own servicing which is relatively easy on this vehicle. The final drive and transfer case are extremely easy to service the transmission although not to bad does pose several minor inconveniences especially when working alone. This fluid transfer system was purchased in an attempt to address those issues. At first glance it would seem to be a big overkill to purchase this system . It would also seem a simple funnel would do the trick. the problem is the fill port on the trans is extremely small . Even a small funnel once inserted into the fill port leaves no space to vent the trans while filling. Due to the small opening and the constant burping up thru the funnel takes what seems forever to fill the trans. This fluid transfer system works extremely well in filling the trans. The small fill tube supplied allows pressurized fluid to be dispensed quickly yet allowing the Tran to vent . no mess and good fluid control. A few comments concerning the pump. ( likes) large capacity resivor. Well engineered pump assembly which screws on to the fluid bottle. nice selection of attachments and hoses. I have a small 4.5 gallon 200psi portable air compressor by Dewalt. (The kind roofers use to run nail guns.) This rather small compressor has no problem in the dispensing mode. (Dislikes) the bottle needs a base. The system is prone to tipping over especially with a air hose attached and low fluid levels. The quick disconnect fittings are difficult to use. Especially the small ones. Takes lots of pushing to get them to click in and lock. The suction mode is a real air hog. Have no need for this feature at present but experimented and was not impressed. Transfer suction rate was slow and the required air seemed extreme. All things considered taking into consideration the very reasonable price point this system is a winner.

Worked as a dealer tech doing daily fluid services, and have used this quite a bit to great success. The pros are mainly that this thing works great... With the right air supply. Between some spare tubing and the provided attachments, this tool had no issues filling up the hardest to reach fill ports, and was strong enough to pull oil through a dipstick tube(only attempted a couple times, was slow). It performs virtually as well as expensive tool trucks and other performance brands. There are 3 downsides, many of which still apply to virtually all competitors. The lid can be a pain to get off, I never had too much issues but could see where a weaker person could struggle. It requires a fairly substantial air supply, a household "pancake" air compressor will not work and will only disappoint, in my experience constant 120psi was effective, probably over the rating. Lastly, the tube inside the tank that pumps oil from tank to application is not perfect and results in a small amount of fluid not being pumped out.

Just finished changing oil in the transmission and transfer case on my F-250. I thought it worked great . It is very well made, easy to use, and not too hard to clean. Wished I had one of these years ago. Also it arrived a day early.

The product is not fully intuitive, but generally works well. I threaded valve is removed to transition the unit to the suction mode which is how the reservoir is filled. For some reason removing the threaded valve does not always create suction, but continues pumping fluid out of the reservoir. By starting and stopping the airflow a few times it usually resolves the issue. Otherwise the unit works very well. The multitude of adapters is very useful. I recommend the product even though the suction is a bit finicky.

I have to say after reading many negative reviews on similar type ATF suction/pumps I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger. I settled on this one because of the size & metal fittings. Instructions are not very good, but if you're mechanical and have decent working knowledge of how things work it's not difficult to figure out at all! Unlike some of the other models where it says the top can't be removed, this one can, but initially I filled it with the suction mode, because I didn't want to risk snapping or breaking anything. Once I did the job, I attempted to remove the cap and was able to fairly easily. Going forward I'll remove the lid & fill it that way to save on time & having to wait for the compressor to refill. I have 32 gallon tank, so I was able to pump quite a bit before the compressor kicked back on. The best part was the one-hand operation with the QD connector to fill it back up...Made it so much eaiser! Nothing leaked! ALL the connections were good! Solid purchase! Will it hold up over time? Don't know, but we'll see next time I do another drain/fill on the transmission. I'll definitely being doing this on a more regular interval on the new car whenever that happens!

Extremely nice setup. I got it primarily for brake flushes and I have a trans flush machine to use the adapters that it came with. The only thing I changed with it was I removed a valve installed inside that traps pressure inside the unit when you disconnect the air line.

I used the unit first to change the front and rear differential on my Subaru Outback by the dispense mode with the pin being inserted. I then cleaned the tubing and canister with brake cleaner. I then refilled the canister with fresh CVT fluid then drained the old CVT out of my car. I then used my pancake compressor to get the canister pressure back to 35PSI, then all hell broke loose. The quick release valve for the ATF refill tube I selected broke not allowing the connection. So, I replaced it with the spare one from the box. Then no matter what I did the CVT fluid would not dispense. The pressure was being lost somewhere in the unit. I resolved the issue to the seal around the pin valve, which i obviously can't fix. I couldn't even get it to suck the fluid back in. So, CVT fluid is now everywhere. I had to go buy a backup pump to refill the CVT into my car so I could actually use my car. I wasn't happy, and I don't even want replacement with the build quality being so poor. My advice is always have a back up method available no matter what - lesson learned.

Does not evac as it should air valve for extract/ refill could have been design more On evac it will keep my 60 gal compressor running full out No way of controlling evac air
