I recently lost my cats furminator through a shipping issue. (On vacation and had a few items at the door which were forgotten, among which was my kitties brush.)So I ordered a brush which I had to return then tried this one.My cat never really settled into brushing with the furminator but he's got enough shedding issues to need it (Maine coone)This brush he loves to have used on him. I tried both sides and the wider teeth is his preference. With the wider teeth it's easy to have the hair released to not get bunched up. Which I believe was partially his discomfort, waiting every few strokes for hair removal.This does not quite work as well as the furminator at getting the undercoat, but because he is more amenable he gets a more thorough brushing. Even allowing his legs and tail* which he never accepted with the furminator. So all told I think it does about the same job just a little slower, however more thorough in the all over body aspect.I would certainly purchase it again and am considering getting a backup. The price is super reasonable for what you're getting.The handle seems a little more comfortable to work with. (Tho to be fair my furminator was one of the original ones.) the hair push thingy feels semi cheap and doesn't really seem to work that well with his fine fur.The swivel lock thing feels fairly secure but maybe a tad looseish for the long haul. But time will tell!

So. Much. Hair. I bought this rather than the more expensive name-brand to see if it would help with the extensive shedding my kitties seem to be experiencing. They love the regular brushes but it seemed like a never ending amount of shed. This brush is amazing! It has two levels of tooth - one slightly wider and a thinner tooth width. There's a little toggle on the top to swap the heads around on a swivel. The mechanism locks securely so it won't swing around if you start brushing. The cats seem to love it too for the level of "good scritch" it seems to provide. The hand is easy to grasp for my carpal tunnel hands and while sturdy and a little beefy, is not too heavy for me. Little nubbies on the underside of the handle provide a better grip as well. Very worth the money!

I have an overweight cat who cannot groom himself and the brush takes a whole cat off of him after five minutes. The comb almost gentley pinches the loose fur to pull out the excess. Not to mention all of my animals come running when I pull it out of the drawer. They all absolutely love it.

It took a few times for Buddy to get used to being brushed, but now he just loves it. The amount of hair that comes off of him is astounding. Seriously less dog hair to vacuum up since it is now being brushed away. Easy to clean too. Love It!!

Replacing an old Furminator. It's every bit as good, well made, and handy. I think the person who complained about the loose blade hadn't clicked the clip down, as it is rock solid. Love it.

I saw the rave reviews of this after my first ever long haired balinese started shedding like crazy as the weather warms up. Stop what you're doing right now and just buy this.I was originally in search of a shedding comb like I used to have for a horse I took care of as a kid. This brush is the answer we needed. I used it on my short haired dog, short haired cat and our long haired balinese and I feel like we combed out the equivalent of having a fourth pet. My balinese couldn't get enough and clearly feels better after being groomed.Just do it!!

My cats have super fine soft hair and most brushes don't pull off the shed but this works great

First thing you need to know is I have a relatively long-haired cat. He's losing a TON of hair when spring comes and during fall. As long as his fur gets longer, he's basically shedding all of the time, leaving hair balls everywhere in my apartment. While I'm not a cleaning maniac, I sometimes despair at the quantity of hair everywhere, at all times.I have tried a number of brushes and combs for my cat. Some work well, some less well. It's worth noting here that my cat used to be a stray that we rescued, so he doesn't like brushing much. In any case, brushing is not a daily thing for us (even it should).This brush is a great addition to my collection. It has two settings for the length and density of the teeth used to remove fur. There is also a spring that allows you to remove stuck hair if needed. In my case, I did not make use of this functionality as I did not find the brush does a good job at keeping the fur altogether, but that's a detail.My cat didn't fight too much when I used the brush, so it's likely not irritating his skin too much. I removed quite a bit of hair when I used the brush, meaning it works well. Compared to other brushes, I'd say it is on par, maybe a bit more efficient.If you do not already have a deshedding brush, this is a good choice and fairly well priced.

I got this to see if it did a better job than the Wahl brush I currently use on my two cats. The short answer is no.Both my cats have short, but extremely thick coats and good lord they shed something awful. Whilst this brush does still pull out a lot of loose fur, I found that it filed up very quickly so you're constantly pulling fur off the brush in order to continue grooming. The teeth are reversible with one finely spaced side and one a little wider, but it was the same for both in my case.On a positive note, the brush feels very sturdy and well made. I also like that it has a push button fur ejector, so you can theoretically empty the brush one handed. That didn't work for me as I think my cats' fur is too fine for it, but I imagine it would be great if you're grooming a dog with thicker, stiffer fur.I reckon this would be great for a lot of dogs, but for shorthaired cats like mine then you're better off with something that's specifically designed for them

I like how well this product de-sheds my long haired cat. It can get a lot of hair in a short amount of time and does not pull too hard on the fur. At first, I was concerned that the brush was not working because it is very gentle and does not hold the loose fur in its bristles. But I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the large quantity of hair on the floor. Although this brush is excellent for de-shedding and removing the undercoat, I do not recommend this brush for combing out matted heirs, as I have a longer rake brush that does a better job for that.

I've tried all the silly new gadgets for brushing a 50lb Burmese dog to a 9lb short hair kitten and this style product is what I consistently come back to. The stainless steel teeth look far far more intimidating than they are; in fact my cat enjoys this over the standard slicker brush and the silicon coned slicker brushes. When using this with my cat I find that anyone can pick it up and without technique brush out enough hair to make a grape sized dense furball all while the cat is trying to rub up against the brush in enjoyment. When using this on a Burmese with longer hair the trick start low on the dog, part and hold the hair with one hand and then gently brush the held down hair with the brush allowing it to pull out from underneath your hand. If you do that you end up with a new part slightly higher up on the dog and an incredible amount of undercoat on the brush. Either way a great product all the way round.

Shipped fast and delivered In no time. This deshedding brush Is great, It's a great quality and works amazing. It has two sides, one side the teeth are further apart and the other side Is closer together. It's very easy to switch between the two. My pets didn't react badly to this and didn't seem to have any discomfort, which Is always a good sign that It's made well. The brush Is also very gentle and doesn't tug or pull at my pets fur. I used this on my Yorkie poo dog (she has curly hair) and my Himalayan cat, the brush worked very well on both and I've noticed a difference In their shedding and It has helped to lessen the amout and It also helped to lessen their coats so the summer heat Isn't as bad as before. All and all this Is a great product and works as Intended. My pets don't mind It and I'm very happy with the result.10/10.
