Perfect!
I love this!! There are two mirrors--one magnifies and one is regular. You even have three different options for ring lights! And of course, you have the option to turn on the UV camera. I tested to see if it just showed if something was on your skin or if it actually recognized SPF, and it does! It's very distinct. Now I'll never miss a spot again!!!

If you're even slightly tan, this is not for you.
Whatever practical function this is supposed to have means nothing if it only works on lighter skin tones. I'm not even that dark, and I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the "before sunscreen application" and "after sunscreen application" on the screen. It might be helpful for the sellers to advertise this not so little limitation. Useless.

Cool device
Love that I can see how my sunscreens working and what coverage it gives me. Also when I need to reapply.

WOW ! this mirror is very revealing !
I'm not gonna lie after looking into this UV mirror i was kind of freaked out . It showed every freckle and dark spots that represented prior sun damage which i knew i had from sunburns when i was younger and laid out in the sun wearing no sunscreen . I know that the dark spots i was seeing in this UV mirror was sun damage because just last week i went to a dermatologist and she pointed out 3 areas on my nose and forehead that are going to have to be treated for pre-cancerous lesions . I got this mirror so that when i apply my sunscreen and then look in the UV mirror and it will show if i missed any areas . I am trying not to have any more damage to my skin and this will help ! I did apply 50spf sunscreen and where i applied it was very dark which indicated that the sunscreen was going to do its job . This is a very good healthcare tool to have .

An absolute skincare game changer!!
This sunscreen testing mirror is completely brilliant for anyone concerned about sun exposure (which, let's be honest - should be all of us)!Even as a regular compact mirror, you get the bonus of a nice ring light and a little magnification. However, the magic happens with a three second press on the power button - it turns on the UV camera.Unprotected skin absorbs UV light, meaning it appears lighter to the camera. Also interesting are the myriad freckles I still have left over from my sunning days. They're invisible to the eye now, but show up with the UV camera. It's important to start with a freshly washed face to get a feel for how your skin looks unprotected. For reference, I have very pale middle aged skin, but UV camera should show sunscreen on any skin tone. The mind-blowing bit is when you apply sunscreen on camera. Since UV light bounces off sunscreen rather than being absorbed into our skin, an effective sunscreen appears completely black. You can see where you need more and any missed areas immediately.I also LOVE that I can try out different sunscreens to see how much coverage they actually provide and how long they last before needing to be reapplied. It's a game changer when it comes to protecting your skin - not only does it give immediate feedback as to your level of protection, but the fun of the gadget encourages use.Highly recommended for people with skin. Seriously.

What’s the use?
I’m not real sure how this is supposed to work but it makes your face look all crazy like something’s on it. So what is the actual point of this product? It’s a compact with a camera with an image that’s misleading. Not happy with it.

Great Product but Mine is Defective
First of all, it's an amazing product that I think is extremely beneficial for everyone. Carrying a mirror with you is always helpful in many ways, but carrying one that can let you know if you've completely applied your sun screen and when you need to reapply it throughout the day is just genius! It comes well packaged in a stylish pullout box which includes instructions, a cleaning cloth and a UV test card. The instructions could certainly be better, not that the device is difficult to operate, but more explanation of what I'm seeing would have been nice. I like that it will show different colors (white or black) for a chemical or a physical sunscreen. I thought I put a chemical and a physical sunscreen on for the photo but they both show up as black, so...maybe I need to rethink my sunscreen purchases! Also I would have appreciated the directions explaining the use of the UV test card, I have no idea what that is for. The regular mirror has 3 different light levels which is nice, and the mirror is magnified so it's kind of the perfect "throw in the purse" mirror. Now on to the defective part--mine will only work if plugged in. Yes, I have charged it, No, I did not over charge it or under charge it. As long as it is plugged in it works and immediately upon unplugging it stops working. So for me, it really only works as a "first thing in morning, before I leave the house" check of my sunscreen, which is nice, but disappointing. Other than that little glitch it definitely would have gotten 5 stars.
