It does the trick for non carplay radios
I purchased this for a 2007 Civic radio. This is the second purchase of said item as the first broke. it works well and simultaneously will allow for sound transfer via 3.5mm jack and cable (not included) and lightning cable (also not included). I am not complaining in any negative way, I just felt that it was worth mentioning that the device only works with other components and is not a stand-alone solution.

Hit the jackpot with these adapters!!!
These adapters have amazing video quality, and are built great. If I buy any type of phone adapter, such as these, the first thing I do when I open it is to shake it. I want to see if I hear anything moving on the inside. I heard nothing when I shook both of these. It has great video quality and I am recommending people buy these if they are looking for these types of connections.

Don’t last long.
When they do work they make annoying static noises but with music playing you can’t hear it. The next problem is they’ll start randomly disconnecting about a month after you start using them. Then they’ll stop working all together. i took good care of mine and didn’t bend them and they still broke. Would not buy again.

It works well
Bought it to replace my apple adapter. Works well and love that I can charge while in use. I've only had them about a month so I can't speak much on durability but so far so good.

They work OK for phones, not as great for my tablet.
So I could not get it to charge ,y iPad but it kept it alive during a live performance where we were using the iPad for some in-between pads. I was not able to charge while I was using it. Ended up buying a Belkin that works a little better and that's the reason why I gave it 4 stars.Good deal for phone users.

Only partially functional
Just got this item so I don't have tons of use yet, no idea how it will hold up over time, will update if any problems with that.I tested it out, it does successfully charge my iPhone 12 Pro and it does play sound through my corded earphones. I have some in-ear Etymotic ER23-HF3 earphones (old school analog earplugs as well as excellent earphones... great sound, passive earplugs for travel, don't have another device running out of power halfway through the movie... on and on... love them, but that's another review). My Etymotics have a small mic/controller on the cord with three buttons--top is volume up, bottom is volume down, middle is play/paus (or when the phone rings answer/hang up) that all work when they are plugged into other my other simple adapter (3.5mm 4-connector TRRS to lightning, which carries all the controls but no power simultaneously). This adapter has a fine sense of build quality, nice small size. However, it does NOT carry the 4-connector controls to the iPhone consistently, so I can't use the inline buttons on the earphones to play/pause or adjust volume. The "About This Item" includes "Support Calling Function, Charging, Headset Control, Data Transfer, Microphone and Remote" so I expected it would be fully functional but apparently not, and even worse it is partially but not fully functional... ugh.On my earphones, normal function includes play/pause and volume control for music, as well as when the phone rings I can answer/hang up and adjust volume up/down.With this adapter, while playing music the play/pause button DOES work but the volume buttons do NOT work. On the phone, the mic DOES work but all of the buttons do NOTHING (I can be heard by the caller, but can't answer/hang up or adjust volume with the buttons). So yeah, not impressed, three stars... not so bad that i'm going to return them but if you really care about these features then go for the better brand higher priced model.

Perfect for what my wife wanted: simultaneous headphone use while charging an iPhone 12.
Perfect for what my wife wanted: headphone use while charging an iPhone 12. FYI, this uses the old style "lightning" charging tab/plug NOT the newer "C" type charger. Super value for the price because you get 2 separate adapters.

Staticky, muted sound, loud popping
I find it hard to believe these Nimizo Lightning to 3.5 mm adapters are actually Apple MFi Certified. I'm trying to replace a Belkin RockStar adapter that's falling apart. My Belkin adapter is over 3 years old and still functions and I also have an official Apple adapter, so I was able to compare them both to the Nimizo. The Nimizo adapters have a low but constant static when plugged into any device. Using this in my car, whenever you plug in or unplug the Nimizo, there's an annoyingly loud pop through the speakers. The Nimizo also start my phone playing from the default Apple Music App whenever I plug it in. I almost never use the Apple Music App so this is also annoying. I don't think this is a setting on my iPhone doing this because neither the Belkin nor Apple adapter does this; they wait for me to choose an audio source. I also noticed that compared to the Belkin and Apple adapters set to the same volume on the phone and car stereo, the Nimizo's sound is a little muffled. It's not so bad that you'd notice unless you compared the two back to back, but it's yet another knock against the Nimizo. I'm returning these and will probably just buy another Belkin Rockstar, which is a bummer because they're twice as expensive.
