These work great! Have a 85lb tri color lab/retr .. she hates thunderstorms and fireworks. If I know ahead of time I give her these (3) for her weight.. and she sleeps straight through. Otherwise about a hour to kick in. She can still function fine, but she is chill. She enjoys the taste too!I also use their multi-vitamin daily for her overall health. Very happy with this product line. Both are soft chews , and worth the money!

UPDATE: she seems calmer but not quite enough. Absolutely love the taste but I think I need something stronger, but at her weight I don’t want to double the dosage and upset her sensitive stomach.I think it's working because my yorkie is a little calmer. I only give her 1/2 a chew every other day because she is 7 lbs. I'll cut it in 1/2 & one 1/2 is broke in 1/2 because my 4 lb dog doesn't need it but I think he has suffered from a lifetime of seizures and sometimes I can see him trembling afterwards so I will give him a tiny piece every so often. [ he is on zonisamide 10 mg 2x daily ]. My yorkie is always whining or high pitched barking & is on high alert even after her long walks.I can see the difference a little bit. Just wish it was made for tiny dogs that are under 10 lbs so I wouldn't have to break them up. They do like the taste of it, though. I keep it in the original bag sealed in a Tupperware to preserve it longer.

I bought these a few years ago figuring, ‘what do I have to lose?’ Our golden is terrified of thunderstorms, and fireworks. She’s also not doing very well with heavy rain and things like that. She was on Celeo gel, which is very expensive and is no good after Six or eight weeks. We threw away more than we were using and it wasn’t worth it. I find that if I give her one of these chews before the thunder really starts or if she hears it before me, I give her one right away. It takes about 10 minutes to have an effect on her, but she does settle quickly and will stop trying to climb in our lap. She usually just lies down ant my feet and will pant a little, but everything seems fine otherwise. We give her two if she really needs it and the storms are going to last a long time. That tends to make her more sleepy.They do have an odor, it’s kind of an herby scent, but I give her the chew and wash my hands immediately after. We also keep the bag tightly sealed and then put it into a gallon Ziploc bag and seal that as well. They stay fresh for quite a while and have not caused any bad effects on our pup.The doctor did say we could give her a medication like trazodone, but it takes more than an hour before it has an effect and many people just give it to their dog either on a regular basis or if there’s even a chance of storms. I don’t want to do that to my dog. These chews work perfectly for us and for our Sophie!

These do not work at calming down my 2 year old Cockapoo at all. She has crate anxiety and when I check on her after the chews there is never any difference. She still barks and whines with so much angst. I give it 3 stars because she still eats them as a treat when she does have to go in the crate.

My dog likes these and they do calm him down when needed. Do not let your pet get into them though. My dog got into the bag and got pretty sick. Not the products fault. The flavor is good enough that my dog snuck the bag and chewed it open. The bag isn't flimsy either.So give per instructions and don't accidentally leave it where your pet can help himself to more.

Giving it 5 stars because it does work to relax my dogs. However, one of them is very hyperactive and it doesn’t have as great as an effect on relaxing as it does for the others but still calms him down a bit at least for a couple of hours. No problems giving the chew either, they all love it. My other dog gets a bit grouchy though.

My dog does not like the flavor. She will pick them out. But that being said. If I can get her to eat one she will relax. She is a chronic licker and allergy meds do not work.
