Perfect for a narrow step. **Q: Could the edge of this mat be trimmed? My step is only 19cm deep and so I wondered if I’d be able to trim the edges of the mat to make it fit?** A: The mat is 25cm deep including a max 2.5cm rubber border both sides. If you were to trim it to 19 cm you would be cutting into the coir/rubber centre panel which I feel would be subject to fray on the cut edge/s. if it is essential the you have a mat for your step, and you haven’t found another maake, you could consider cutting an Esschert mat and trimming the cut edge with black gaffer tape.
