Bolts thread is fined but the head for socket wrench is way undersize undersize."To close the hood, a lot of force required to compress the struts. One can see that hood is bending. each time when close. Force applied in order to close the hood (struts) put a lot of stress on single bolt. It will change the shape the hood.I painted all the hardware to match body color, except the strut post area. Therefore, I can not return the purchased. I will keep mounting hardware and shop for a new pair. Penny wise Pound foolish! !!This product should be taken out from Amazon listing since it can damage others beloved Miata NC hood.

The reason I did not give it five stars is because the gas struts were a little bit too strong. It took quite a bit of effort to close the hood and when you raise the hood need to be careful so it doesn’t bounce when it opens.

There is no way to install them on the 2007 Mazda Miata MX-5. I paid $30.99 for this, and it could not be installed, NOW THEY WHAT TO CHARGE ME $5.00 TO SEND IT BACK. WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA STUPID. NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY!!!!!
