It connects very easily too.Perhaps the only negative would be how loud it goes, but since this is in my sons room it’s actually a bonus! The pictures don't do this speaker justice. The unit has a quality look and feel with an exceptional finnish. The case has a very high gloss finnish with crisp clean lines , the mesh in the front of the unit not only is the output for the speakers it also contains the led display , which when activated shows which mode the speaker is in. This again adds to the clean minimalist look to the speaker. The function buttons are situated on the top of the device and are flush fit emphasising the clean minamalistic look. The buttons have a good quality feel to them with definite clicks to let the user know the button has been activated. The case has a design which at first glance looks as though the case has melted , this does make the speaker look like a cut above the boring oblong box which is the design of the majority of speakers on the market. The rear of the unit has the various ports for USB ,tfcard,line in and charging port , giving the user several options that you do not get from other Bluetooth units. The base of the unit houses the battery compartment . This gives the user another option denied by most other speakers,the opportunity to replace the rechargeable battery. It also has the rubber feet to prevent the unit from slipping and sliding when placed on a highly polished surface. And if that wasn't enough you also get a neoprene case for carrying the speaker and two cables one USB charging cable ,and a speaker cable to connect to any device with a headphone socket. Oh and just to make every other blue tooth speaker feel totally inadequate it also has fm radio built in.Ok it looks good feels good and has a few extras what about the function. Sound and especially the quality of sound depends a lot on the user what music you like , do you like lots of base ,etc etc. I'm no expert when it comes to sound , all I can tell you is this speaker has a fair base has a good clear sound ,and the unit has no rattles or distortion even on full volume.Pairing the speaker is simplicity itself and it works very well with alexa and the Amazon echo dot. The sound is rich and clear and copes beautifully with base and mis sounds even when turned up to full volume.Even better, this has an FM radio! The radio presets all the station for you by simply clicking the buttons right or left. This unit does not have an external aerial so I presume it must be built in, but despite this the sound quality from the radio is very very good.For me the fact that there is a built-in radio makes this the perfect unit as it's dual purpose.It charges with the supplied USB and it comes with some charge. I use it every single day for a 3 to 4 hours and it is still going after a week!
