Bosch Smart Home Eyes outdoor camera – for reliable property monitoring with additional light function via the integrated outdoor lighting

Brilliant, easy to set up and the picture quality is fantastic. The app works well and there is no monthly fees. 😃

Other makers are cheaper but we already had the system and this was an addition. Quality is excellent but camera not very adjustable so mounting height has to be accurate.

Must have strong wifi that can be broadcast in 2.4ghz for the set up. The camera itself, the app and Bosch support is very good ! I overlooked wifi initially, my fault as usually using my phone in the garage and in hindsight it would obviously switch to mobile data. My garage is at the end of my garden and my router is at the fromt of the house. After an absolute debacle with Vodafone I ran a Ethernet cable to the garage and bought a 2.4ghz access point aka wifi extender. TP Link 300mps TL-WA801N which is cheap at around £23 from Curry’s. Finally set up and glad to have it up and running and no subscriptions. Very easy to share videos from the app.

I wanted an unobtrusive door camera that doubled as a coach lamp. I spent quite a lot of time searching on the internet for a product that looks good and met my requirements. This Bosch camera gave me this and more. Totally programmable light settings, remote viewing and alerts. I'm delighted with this product.

I bought this security camera just over 2 years ago and to begin with it worked well. However, for the last 18 months it has not worked at night - the light comes on but the camera does not record. I have been in touch by phone with Bosch on numerous occasions and they come up with suggestions but none of them worked. They have asked me to forward a copy of my invoice (presumably with a view to giving me a refund or replacement) which I did but I have not heard anything in reply. This has happened twice. I have now given up with Bosch and the security camera and just use it as a VERY expensive security light (£270 at the time of purchase). I have recently bought a Tapo 2K Security Camera Outdoor for less than £50 and am really pleased with it. It's a far superior product for a lot less money. I really am so disappointed with Bosch and their Customer Service as I've always been pleased with their products. I thought they were reliable!

Easy to install and use. Most people don't even know its a camera

Generally this does what it says it will and works well. However the camera does drop out from time to time with WiFi connection issues. Where it is sited I have a mesh WiFi extender and the router is less than 8m away. My phone shows at the camera's position outside a 50% WiFi signal but the camera only reports a 30% signal. Update June 21: I have discovered that it is best not to use a mesh network extender but a really cheap extender that transmits on its own SSID. The reason is that the camera will switch from a mesh extender back to the base router and then loses the stronger signal from the extender. With a cheap extender the camera will only connect to the SSID of the extender and not revert back to the router's weaker signal. Having said all that the camera will at best only detect 50% of the extender's signal strength, although the extender is less than 4m away.

Acheté en 2019, mise à jour 2023 Fonctionne toujours aussi bien, Bosch effectue les mises à jour, je confirme sa robustesse, le tarif se justifie j'ai mis 5 étoiles. commentaire de 2019 Produit bien présenté, semble robuste. L'éclairage n'est pas très puissant, distance 5m pas plus, détection 10m. Qualité de la caméra très bonne, le son aussi. De nuit avec l'éclairage public la vision est très bonne. La détection par caméra est au delà de 10m, heureusement que l'on peut mettre une zone de masquage ! ça m'évite d'avoir une notification à chaque passage du bus de ville. L'application permet de paramétrer les lumières d'ambiances. Le reproche c'est la vision des événements, un historique en ligne comme quasi toutes les caméras est plus rapide en lecture. Le prix est plus élevé que les concurrents, j'espère que cela se verra dans le temps. Astuce : avant de monter le boitier, reliez le sur une prise électrique pour effectuer l'association avec le wifi, c'est plus facile qu'une fois que c'est installé à 3m de haut. J'avais lu dans les commentaires que ça ne fonctionne pas avec une freebox, j'ai une révolution, pas de problème rencontré, c'est très rapide à configurer. Avant de le brancher, mettre de la bombe à contact pour retarder l'oxydation vu que le boitier sera à l'extérieur.

Wir hatten vorher eine andere Außenkamera - auch einer sehr bekannten hochpreisigen Marke -, mit der wir wirklich sehr unzufrieden waren. Dauernd stützte die App ab und die Bildqualität war sehr schlecht. Nach knapp 1 1/2 Jahren war sie defekt. Nunmehr haben wir auf die Bosch Smart Home Eyes gewechselt und sind endlich super zufrieden!!! Die App läuft flüssig und stabil. Die Bildqualität ist gestochen scharf und die Kamera läuft seit Monaten ohne Probleme. So sollte es immer sein! Wir haben die Bosch Smart Home Eyes Kamera über eine Fritz-Box angeschlossen. Die Installation ist denkbar einfach und sehr schnell erledigt. Wir sind super zufrieden und überlegen gerade, uns eine zweite Kamera von Bosch zuzulegen. Daher gerne von uns 5 Sterne***** Mittlerweile haben wir uns eine zweite Kamera - die neue Bosch Kamera II - zugelegt, um unser Haus rundum zu sichern. Wir hatten uns die Montage - da wir mit der ersten Kamera so gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben - wesentlich einfacher vorgestellt. Super ist, dass die neue Kamera genau auf die gleiche Halterung der alten Kamera paßt, so dass wir für die neue Kamera keine neuen Löcher bohren mußten. Die „alte Kamera“ sollte an eine anderen Stelle montiert werden. Die Montage war deshalb wirklich sehr einfach aber damit hört das Positive erstmal auf. Die neue Kamera ließ sich nicht mit unserem Wlan verbinden und hat uns echt viel Nerven gekostet. Zwischenzeitlich hat die Montage und das ganze hin und her unser komplettes Haussystem „geschrottet“ und mußte mühsam wieder Schritt für Schritt hergestellt werden. Die ganze Montage hat mich deshalb 2 schweißtreibende Tage gekostet. Wir haben eine Fritz Box 7590 und 2 Repeater von AVM. Die Repeater müssen für die Einbindung in das vorhandene Wlan erstmal ausgesteckt und Wlan-Netz genommen werden, damit sich die neue Kamera in das vorhandene Wlan einbindet. Danach können die Repeater wieder angeschlossen werden. Auch war hier leider nicht ganz ersichtlich, welches Wlan-Passwort eingegeben werden muss. Dies ist der Wlan-Schlüssel und nicht das Passwort. Ich habe echt lange hin und her probiert, bis ich dies herausgefunden hatte. Die Kamera hat nun nach langem hin und her in unserer Wlan-Netz eingebunden und ist von der Qualität wesentlich besser als unsere alte Kamera. Da nun alles funktioniert, sind wir zufrieden. Im übrigen sind wir eigentlich technisch gut aufgestellt und keine Anfänger……aber man sollte hier gute Nerven haben und sich vielleicht ein wenig Hilfe suchen, da die Einbindung dieser Kamera in das vorhandene Wlan-Netz doch eine ganz schöne Herausforderung sein kann.
