Add-ons such as boiled eggs, scallions, and/ or fishcake is typical but optional. I often just make up a quick bowl of simmered rice cake and sauce for a mini meal. There is something about it that really hits the spot. With this being JUST rice cake, I can use it in any fashion I want. One of their pictures shows the pieces lightly grilled with a side of dipping sauce. I never thought to do that, now I will have to give it a try.
