Very loud, and works when wet
This is a 4-pack of emergency whistles I keep in my kayak and backup gear. They’re extremely simple, but they work reliably. Sound output is loud and sharp enough to carry outdoors, and they still function when wet, cold, or exposed to rough conditions—which is the main requirement for any emergency whistle. At ~$5 for four, the value is hard to beat. It also makes it easy to distribute them across multiple places (PFD, dry bag, glove box, etc.) so you’re not relying on a single unit. There’s nothing complicated here, but that’s the point: they’re lightweight, consistent, and do exactly what an emergency whistle is supposed to do.

Great for water or pool use
Nice whistle but it takes a bit to blow for a louder sound. Great for pool use (non-swimmers can use for help needed) since there are no metal parts on it. Good value pack if you need more than 1.

No Cons at all that I can see with this four-pack of whistles. Nice too that they came shipped with a clear plastic closing case, unexpected. The volume of the whistle to me seems more than satisfactory. I have an emergency use flotation water device and the emergency whistle to attach to it with its string tie seems a logical edition. With the four-pack having another whistle to keep handy in my vehicle, in my bike pouch, and my camping gear.

As described and versatile for carry options
It's simple, loud, can be clipped to your shirt and comes with a lanyard. This is a great addition to anyone's camping or bugout bag. It's made of plastic so it won't rust and seems pretty durable as a first impression. Like anything, a tool is only as good as the plan on how to use it. Failing to plan=planning to fail.
