Filter Primer Pump Kit for Berkey® Black Filter

I have both the gray washers and the blue rubber primer for my filters, but have moved to a place with a spray head on the kitchen faucet that neither of these fit. And bathroom sinks aren't deep enough. I have a family member that uses this process so I ordered one. The first appeared to be a return that was resent because the threads were stripped. But the replacement was new and works great. Also good for reversing the priming flow for cleaning, using the filtered water so you never have unfiltered water inside the black filters.

The way this works is super. Cleared my filters out nicely. But having to reverse fittings is a little difficult and I'm worried the tubing will loosen up over time. Wish there was a way for it to just work without that part of it.

Our Berkey filters were draining so slow & I was about to buy new filters even though I knew it wasn't quite time. The filters are so expensive now so decided to give this a try first! It worked so well & our Berkey is draining super well now!!

This saves HOURS of time. When I bought my first filter a few years ago, I didn't know about the need to 'prime' them. It must've taken a day and a half before I felt that it was filtering at a normal speed. Just recently my parents picked up a new filter set and I got to test out the difference when priming it for the first time. It was probably a 10 minute process. I'm definitely glad I have this now because it make the whole process of changing out filters and getting them ready for use a lot easier.
