It can be used in addition to a performance dose of EDT to further increase lubricity on a regular basis. The treat rate for LX4 depends on the size of the fuel tank. For a 33-gallon tank, the recommended treat rate is 2 ounces of LX4 per tank. Simply pour the recommended amount of LX4 into the fuel tank before adding fuel. Be sure to shake the bottle well before use to ensure even distribution of the product. It's important to note that LX4 is not a substitute for EDT, which is designed to clean and maintain the fuel system. never heard of optilube so i could not say, all i can say is hotshot is by far the best diesel additive i have ever used, tryed many in the past no comparision to hot shot, im sure it helps to clean the fuel system, i get way more power when i use it, so its put in everytime i fill up.

Q: Has anyone found sediment in the bottle? When I recieved mine there seemed to be floaties then after settling there is whitish sediment at the bottom

Yes when it was cold out but I just shook it up and it cleared up
