Ducting Pipe Non Return Valve 100mm Round Duct Rigid Tube Connector with Shutter Extractor Fan Backdraft Damper Stopper KO100-22

Wanting to replace two rubbish "Silavent" ceiling extractor fans with inline fans, I needed to source to vents with shutters, but none were available. So I bought two KAIR vents and two of these.They fit standard 4" (100mm) solid or flexible duct pipe.These are unsprung gravity flaps, so they need to be fitted nothing but vertically to operate properly. Fitted any other way and they won't close. They are also best fitted at the vent in the ceiling so they become dual purpose backdraught and odour eliminators.They seem good quality and due to them not having springs, there's nothing to go rusty and stop working.

Great easy way to avoid installing a new gravity or cowl vent. I thought it would push fit on the fan and rigid pipe at 100mm, however this is not the case as it’s exactly the same diameter as the duct pipe of 100mm. Therefore just used duct tape to join to a flexible pipe and it’s fine. Cut off half inch of insulation tape and taped to bottom of vent to stop any clanking noise and it’s prettyMuch silent. A bit pricey for a flimsy bit of plastic but it works

I had 2 bathroom inline fans that allowed stronger winds to cool the bathrooms and create drafts. The backdraft shutters were very easy to install. The first fitted snugly over the fan spigot and the flexible hose was easy to secure to the other side of the shutter. The second fan spigot was the same diameter as the shutter so could only be butted up and secured with duck tape. Not ideal but functional and secure. The drafts have been considerably reduced and a good solution.

Good vent but a little noisy if the wind gets up and starts opening and closing itself and clanking shut

Fitment was easy and the product works affectively.

Very simple and effective. Time will tell of reliability and keeping the back drafts out.

Great little item, if you have a 100mm duct system to the outside if you can't fit a vented external flap, easy to fit, put mine in the loft between the bathroom extractor fan and the external vent, improved the bathroom loads regards to heating etc and removed the draft , definitely recommend

Works well but not as good as another product hear for a pound more and for something that had a label that looks like it was bought from a Polish B&Q it should really be cheaper (a bit of injection moulded plastic costing pennies to make...)

Ho il tubo della kappa della cucina che spunta fuori ed in inverno quando c'è freddo e vento sentivo nella cucina del vento anche se le porte erano chiuse, dopo aver montato fuori questo accessorio se accendo la kappa della cucina l'aria fà aprire il bocchettone e fuoriesce il fumo o vapore della cucina, mentre quando non viene usata il bocchettone con una molla si chiude, unico inconveniente è che se viene montato direttamente fuori, quando c'è vento si sente lo sportellino aprirsi e chiudere in continuazione allora per ovviare il problema ho messo una curca e poi verso il basso anche per non far entrare l'acqua quando piove.

Very flimsy and doesn’t work with 100mm pipes (too small, which makes me think it would be even worse with 4 inch pipes).
