Great dash cam
Never wrote a review before but decided to on this as I spent ages deciding on a dash cam, went for this as has built in speed camera alerts which is great for me as I do alot of driving. 1st thing the picture makes it look big & its not, It fits behind my rear view mirror & cannot even see it. Its touch screen makes it easy to use & set up & I got the smart power box for continuous recording if my car gets bumped whilst stationary & monitors the car battery power as well. Ok the speed alert volume is not ear popping but easily heard unless you have a Bose stereo on full but it has a button on the screen that lets you add new speed camera positions whilst driving...neat !!!. Not checked the vid footage as yet & suppose I ought to but not had chance

Excellent next-gen camera
Nice compact device, very good window sucker, long cable, easy to use control, clear screen, sharp recording, good instructions... it's just about perfect.

So Dissapointing !!!!
Started well - small unit and feels well made however that's where the good stuff ends - firstly at this price it should come with a case and a memory card , next the quick release mechanism is poor and requires you use your nails to prise the unit from its holder - ( you can't just take the holder off the windscreen as the power lead becomes an integral part of it so using your nails is a must or you have to keep the power lead and camera all cabled together - not ideal ) You cannot source spare power leads or spare windscreen mounts anywhere ( not even Mio themselves) - and speaking to a " Mio " customer service dept that opens 8-4 Mon to Thursday and a half day on a Friday only ( not forgetting closing for an hours lunch each day ) to resolve problems just leaves you in a long queuing system and when you get a reply promises are made of returned calls but none ever kept and did I mention that the speed camera info is in KMH not MPH - it's on their FAQs from the start of June - still no resolution - another promised call back that never happened - suggest you steer clear of this until they sort the issues out - sending mine back to Amazon

Good quality dash-cam
Good quality dash-cam, worth paying for (rather than very cheap items available). Initially experienced problems updating software (to convert km to miles on speed cameras) but Mio support very good. For updating ensure camera is fully charged and after downloading updates on computer transfer camera (with installed SD card) to car adapter for update completion. Persevere, it works eventually. Touch screen operation preferable to pressing fiddly buttons. Second SD card does not double memory capacity but can be used as back-up. When setting up insert charging cable into socket FIRST as cable cannot be attached with socket installed (instructions do not mention this). Overall a good performing dash-cam, would recommend.

Qualty Control Appears Lacking
Never had the opportunity to try it out in action as the power supply lead supplied could not be inserted through the space provided on the suction mount. It was either the moulded plug housing which was too large or the receiving socket had become misaligned during assembly.Product looked OK, but allowing a misaligned product onto the market would suggest Quality Control procedures might not be up to scratch.

Expensive camera - useless for speed camera locations
Good enough camera, but many cheaper alternatives. What would make this worth buying would be if the speed camera database that you can download actually included mobile speed camera locations, only has the fixed ones, so if you are looking to buy this to avoid more points DO NOT BOTHER.
