We needed these clocks for off-grid (no electricity) RV living. We first bought the same clock in blue a year ago. It's still working out so well that we decided to get the red one for our bedroom. So, this review is mainly based on the clock we originally bought. Why we love these clocks: 1. Powered ONLY by (4) standard AA alkaline batteries. NO cords/charging required, which is pretty uncommon. 2. Large easily-read display. 3. Includes 3 brightness levels. We find the lowest setting quite bright enough, even during the day. 4. Doubles as a nightlight - even lowest brightness is similar to a dim nightlight. We personally find the red to be the most "soothing" for sleeping hours (a circadian-rhythm thing?). 5. Energy efficient - when kept on lowest brightness setting, 4 AA batteries last at least 6 months! 6. Keeps time accurately - I periodically check the time against my smart phone and have never had to adjust time. Conclusion: These reliable little clocks have exceeded all our expectations and have turned out to be well worth their modest price tag.

Three years ago, I needed a simple digital clock and chose this one. This clock is so good, I decided to buy a second one! Here are the positives (can't think of negatives): a) digital clock with an alarm that stays accurate until the next battery change b) super intuitive operation -- you won't need to find the instructions if you need to reset the time c) runs on 4 AA batteries and is low drainage. My Duracells only need replacing about every 18 months d) when the batteries run down, the indication is that the numerals grow dim rather than simply shutting the clock down (this is good in emergency situations) e) can be used in a bedroom without it lighting it up the entire room when it is dark. I have the green numerals and keep it on "low" display f) small enough to slide in anywhere with a simple classic exterior that doesn't call attention to itself g) good sized numerals that can easily be read across the room. The size of the numerals is not too large, however, and doesn't draw attention to itself h) super inexpensive without being cheap i) very lightweight and portable. On occasion, I have taken this out of my bedroom and used it in another location (outside). That's why I decided it was just better to get a second one!

Perfect in our living room! We could never see the appliance clocks hidden by our kitchen countertop and now we can see the time easily from our couch. I purchased the black clock with red illuminated numbers which is easy to see, the black blends into the TV sound bar and looks like it's a part of the TV. The numbers are just the right size. Keeps perfect time. I like the battery operated, no cords. Perfect!

This is a nice little alarm clock. The display letters are nice and big where someone like myself who wears glasses has no issue with seeing the letters. The only problem with this clock is the buttons in the back, either for the time or for the alarm. They are very small and difficult to grasp. Putting that aside, the alarm does work well.

I've only worked with this alarm clock for a few minutes, but I like what I see. You don't need instructions to set the clock and alarm EXCEPT for disabling the SNOOZE. You must press and HOLD the 12/24 button to toggle snooze function. My old alarm gradually lost alarm volume. It became so low that you can hear if awake, but no way could it awaken a sleeping person. I tested the alarm on this clock. Though you cannot adjust the volume, its starts out sufficientiy loud then over its' 90 second alarm cycle becomes progressively LOUDER. Unless you are hard of hearing, I believe this is plently loud to awaken even a sound sleeper. Because of the ability to disable SNOOZE, touching the top of the clock will stop the alarm until the next alarm time comes around. It's a nice touch to be able to adjust the brightness of the display. Especially if it's on low, the brightness of the display should never keep anyone awake. It is powered with 4 AA batteries. This should be enough battery power to keep it powered a good long time, though I have not owned it long enough to know the actual battery life. After putting this clock through the paces, I'm very impressed with what I've seen. I have not owned it long enough to know if if it keeps accurate time, but should I find it will not keep time accurately, I will return to this review and update with that information. Based on what I know now, I would recommend this product as a BUY.

Well made easy to set up love the blue digital color and easy to read in the dark. Happy with this purchase just what I wanted.

Excellent clock. Nice large numbers. Set it and forget it. 4 Rechargeable NimH AA batteries lasted 13 months on low display power (that last week it was pretty dim). Kept accurate time for that duration. It will run on just two batteries if needed. I dont use the alarm so cant comment on that function, it just sits in the bathroom so no need for the alarm. Liked it so much bought a spare (I hate it when i get a great product and it ends up being discontinued).

I have worked with this clock for two years. It sits on my desk. It survived a move from our old house to our new. It survived changing from a traditional desk to a standing desk. Its a tough little clock. I love how how the display can be dimmed. I love that it uses AA batteries and not AAA batteries. I won't buy anything that uses AAA batteries because of how even new AAA batteries are often found leaking in their packages. I love that this clock is smaller. What I do find irksome is how quickly it runs fast, about a minute a month. That may not be significant to you. For what I do that is significant and why I am online looking for a replacement for an otherwise perfect little clock.

Fine product. I haven't noticed any problems mentioned in past negative reviews, I think the manufacturer has changed some things. It is bright enough to see in the day, but not too bright for night. The numbers are big and easy to see. I've only had it a week, so I can't say much about battery life, but since I use rechargeable batteries I don't expect any problems. I don't find the settings difficult to change. Perfect that it doesn't have a power cord, the batteries are enough.

Good display, any one can buy without thinking. Delivery it will take almost one month but still you can wait for this product.

The main concern from all buyers will be battery life and accuracy. 1) For real life alkaline battery life test for my last 3 month use, each battery voltage will drop about 0.1V every 3 months. The unit can still operate with 1.2V. That means 4x new alkaline batteries will last about 9 to 12 months with lowest brightness level. The time can be read clearly from 3 meters away in total darkness with lowest brightness level. (Unit provided 3 levels of brightness) 2) The time is accurate within 30s after 3 months usage. I used 4x alkaline Battery. Now they are about 1.2V.

The numbers are large and easy to read both day and night. But it is not too bright. It sits very near my face when I'm sleeping but it does not disturb me at all. A prefect travel clock to take when visiting countries that have different electricity as it runs totally on batteries.
