Purchased for my elderly mum who wears rollers in bed, the ones with the bristles stick in and are uncomfortable to sleep in, whereas these bristles can be pulled out but still roll up the hair and get a defined curl in the morning.

These are old fashioned brush rollers from the 50s and 60s. They work marvelously for very fine hair such as mine.
