Amazon does it again! At the eleventh hour, the kids in my class ere asking if I had ever had oan elf on the shelf in my classroom. I said that I had, but I really hadn't. They were disappointed that we didn't have one. I told them that I bet if they behaved, he might show up one day. I searched everywhere for an elf. They were sold out. By chance, I looked on Amazon and it was delivered within two hours. Ginger has been in our classroom ever since, setting up challenges for my students and they are loving it! It is well made. and adorable. It is quite sturdy. It has been attached to our shade string, sat on an overhead projector and even wore earphones sitting in a basket. He is just the right size and came in perfect condition. I absolutely love him!

I thought my 12 year old was done with this trend but when he mentioned it and we couldn't find our old elf...I bought this one. We named him Tinseltoots Jinglebottoms and he's very mischievous and fun for my son. He knows it's not 'real' but was not ready to give up on his childlike imagination and I'm here for it. It's fun! Actually quite impressive for the reasonable price. This is a legitimate Elf on the Shelf and resembles the ones i've seen out in the wild. The 'hands' are velcro, so you can pose it or hang it from things. These are small and soft enough to be carried in a pocket. The face is plastic and the expression is classic. This is my second one. It satisfied two of my children's desires for this seasonal doll. A good buy!

I love that you pay way less than the original Elf on the Shelf, and this one even comes with shoes included, which is such a nice bonus.
