It's a soft gel which lathers nicely, not too much, but just enough. Smells nice and natural, and makes my skin feel silky, smooth and soft during and after showering. It can be a bit slippery underfoot in the shower, though. I am sensitive to a lot of body washes and soaps and normally use unfragranced, but I am relieved to find this one doesn't irritate my skin. The only negative is the first time I used it, I struggled to take the protective cap off the tube with wet hands whilst in the shower. I gave up.
