I am retired , was only using them on occasion.I had Ryobi for many years, before I started up a company I only used the Ryobi driver and drill. After the company fired up, I was using many different Ryobi tools, putting many hours on them, at this point even my oldest ones are still working well. I was checking out the DeWalt driver at store and I liked it's feel and size, so I had to find out why DeWalt has been around for a long time. At this point I am very happy with it's design, the light on the front has served me well on many occasions. I wasn't sure about the speeds 1 thru 3, but after using them I found them very useful. It has a lot of power, which I definitely love. I use it exclusively at this point and have since purchased a reciprocating saw, and a cut off tool. The brand new cut off tool is another story. Right out of the box it was defective, spindle had probably half inch of play in and out. And, spindle lock did not work at all. I've never purchased a Ryobi tool that was defective out of the box, plus they all still operate to this day. This one has 1800 inch lbs of torque which is stronger than any other brand's impact driver (except the kobalt 24v but it's much lighter than that one) What the power means is that it will drive a large lag bolt quicker and smoother than other brands which will struggle to do the same job Don't even consider brushed version. The brushless are more powerful, more energy efficient and made in USA. They only cost a little more so not really a benefit to get the 885 **Q: What type of adaptor is needed for socket use with this impact driver?** A: You can purchase on here 1/4" hex to socket adapters for 1/4,3/8,1/2" sockets. However, this is not an impact wrench, it is an impact driver.
