Sturdy, accurate, stable, easy to read.

So please we invested in this weighing scale for the bathroom having opted to pay more for the sauna quality one. Its been amazing so far with very accurate readings - tested against our doctors scale (they use the exact same model so it must be good!The big thing here is that being in catering, our bathroom sees us all getting lots of baths and normally an ordinary cheaper job would have rusted or become damaged by now.This scale by Seca has stood all the soakings, weighings, and peppered with talk, and still not a bleminsh on it. Dont worry about cleaning- it is easy to clean the dial and standing platform, with no fear of the paint or metal rusting or blistering. A damp cloth is all we have needed to use.You may pay more up front but by now we would be looking at another weighing scale, so we think this is great value.The adjuster for the calibration rarely needs touched - only when one of us accidentally catches it now and again. Its very simply to adjust and these scales have a good large, easy readout.It is a little larger by two inches or so, compared to a "normal" cheaper scales, but not a serious issue in our bathroom.There is a safety block made of a hard plastic at the top end of the scales (we assume) to stop the scales (the round circular area?) being kicked into the wall surface which might accidentally cause damaging to the finish on the scale or wall possibly?The adjuster knob has been placed where your toes sometimes touch, so it may have been a better idea to have this further round on these scales away from where your toes sometimes touch? - but it doesn't happen that often in any event.

Fantastic mechanical scales. Excellent build quality and the non-slip footplate easily accommodates (UK) size 12 feet. The mechanism stabalises quickly & readings are consistent across a range of floor surfaces; carpet, ceramic tiles and exposed boards have been tried so far.Why only 4 stars? The display. I have decent eyesight and am closer to the ground than most, at a smidgen over five feet tall, yet I find the display tricky to read. A larger display and/or increased separation between the dial markings would certainly have raised my rating to five stars. I should also mention that the analogue display increases in 1kg increments and has no imperial markings; I don't find this a problem, but those who want to monitor their weight more closely may be disappointed.Minor grumbles aside, I'm sure these scales will serve me well for decades to come.

I previously purchased some digital scales and had to send them back because I got a different reading each time I used them. These are at least consistent and have a steel frame. They are not cheap but I think they will last for many years

This item was received quickly; the price was fine and they were in good order.In my opinion they are very accurate and sturdy but suffer from the disadvantage that I find it difficult to read the weight.I realise that this is a normal design and the fault must be with eye sight however I do prefer scales that retain the reading or that have a stand for the dial to bring it nearer.I think that having a red line for the 5Kg increments would assist.

I have to say that SECA usually make fantastic products but unfortunately things sometimes go wrong and in this case I bought these scales for my daughter and they came damaged. My daughter had to go into hospital and because I had bought these scales and I was in the North and she in the South it made things terribly laborious. Although the company we bought them from was delightful they told us our guarantee was with SECA not them. Well I dont think that would happen in a shop where you walk in and buy a product and when you open it at home you find it is faulty, no, you would go back to the store and I am sure they would sort the problem out for you so no marks for customer service. Next time I will buy my daughter scales in a normal shop I would not trust any internet based shop with this type of product. It is a great pity, and we cannot be bothered to send them back and go through a whole rigmarole with SECA so never again for me I am afraid only from a shop...

These are expensive, but given that they are designed for medical use and come with a certificate of calibration, I think that they're good value. They're well made and provide consistent, accurate results. Be prepared for a shock though, I'm 10kg heavier than I previously thought, my wife 6kg.

A nice, solid piece of equipment. Easy to read and easy to clean. Better than digital displays.

Achat de plusieurs pèses personnes, toujours déçus ! trois prises de poids et aucun résultats identiques !J'ai craqué pour ce produit car le même que mon médecin, certes encombrant, pas esthétique à l'œil, mais la précision attendue est bien là ! de 0 à 150Kg ! Prix élevé, je comprends pour un pèse personne mais trop comptent de mon achat. Je le conseille vivement.

Pèse personne de très haute qualité. L'aiguille revient toujours en place, face au zéro. Dommage que les barres de graduation soient peu visibles, une fois debout sur la balance. Il aurait fallu les noircir davantage pour une bonne lecture.
