Windmill Cat Wand-W

Delivered today and also could not wait for me to take it out of the box! Once out he inspected it and was super happy. I always let him get acquainted with things before I move them or use them to play. Once I knew he liked this I started holding it above him so that he would get his engine going (as you can see in the video). After I finished the video he got more and more interested and excited. He followed me around the house as I was holding this new toy. We played for 20 minutes! And I had to put it away otherwise I would still be there probably 😂. Based on other reviews I made sure that when he “trapped” the bird he would not keep him for too long as I didn’t want him to destroy the feathers. He battled it, chased it, clawed it and the toy remained perfect. Let’s hope it lasts! If any complaints, I will update this review. Also, It has great bounce! I love how the way the feathers spin on their own when I just move the wand and Leo loves it too.

My cat goes absolute bonkers for this toy. He jumps almost 2 feet in the air to try to get it. One problem. Is that the feathers on the end don’t last very long. I have ordered two replacement packs of feathers.

My kitty loves this thing - if you move it around just right, the feathers around and make it very bird-like. My huntress will play with this until she or I get tired. A tired kitty is a good kitty - not trying to attack my feet out of boredom. This gadget loses it's feathers quicker than I'd like, but replacement feather spinner parts are available. AND - the wand part is a wire - yay! The fiberglass wand on similar toys breaks down into slivers that hurt like hell.

I have had this toy for two days so far & my cats seem to really enjoy it! I like to mix a little air play with floor play to keep it interesting. I have been banging it around a bit & it seems to be good quality. I'm still on my first attachment, lets see how it holds up.

I have had many cats and many toys and nothing has come close as to how to my new 4 month old kittens have reacted to this. They went absolutely mad for it! Even while I was attaching the feathers they were starting to jump in anticipation. The second I let it spring forth, they were jumping around like little acrobats. The quality feels fantastic as well. From the wooden handle, to the thick metal cable to the latch that holds the feather ring on, it all seems very well designed by people who know cats and cat lovers. Another very considerate addition is the refills of the feather rings. Again, these people know their cats. “Prey is play” and the feathers certainly seem to appear like prey to my little guys. By the same token however, when they do catch one of them, they are quick to attack and gnaw at it. So far, the first ring has lasted seven 30-minute play sessions, but it’s starting ti get a bit ragged. Thankfully, I have refills ready to go. I’ve already ordered more refills by themselves as this has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be my kittens number one toy (and I love using it too!)

I have never found a toy that my cat loved so much. Great for at the end of the day. I play with him for a half hour before bed then feed him and he sleeps through the night. I do have to hide it up high when we are done or he will not leave it alone. Occasionally my cat will rip out the feathers or eat them if I'm not paying attention, but all I have to do is glue them back on and by the next day we're good to go again. Yes the feathers do wear out eventually, but for the price of 3 replacements feather sets at $9. it is well worth it and if you can't afford them, find or buy some replacement feathers and glue them in and you'll be all set. I used to make something similar myself, but to be honest, the metal pole and clip on assembly is very durable and well worth the price. I love this so much that I bought two more as gifts for two cat Mom's I know.
