Mindful Chef is a subscription service, and this arrived in a large cardboard box. Inside was Styrofoam and 3 packs of dry ice to keep the fruit inside frozen. There are 3 different types included 'loaded green' 'breakfast baobab' and 'berry breakfast' each in their own box then with 5 sachets inside. Each sachet contains a mixture of frozen fruits and oats, lots of good, healthy ingredients included, all natural, vegan and gluten free. You need to mix this with 250-350ml of a preferred liquid in a blender. The fruit blended quite easily, taking around a minute or so to prepare each. All three varieties tasted nice with a bit of oat milk. My personal favourite was the berry one, as it had the sweetest flavour, but all three are good in their own ways. This is a good quality product, but would I subscribe to this? Unfortunately I have to say no. I respect what this product is going for, but at Β£35 for 15 sachets of fruit - plus the cost of a liquid to blend it with, that's a very high price to pay. It would be much more cost effective to make these yourself as home with fresh fruit. I suspect a lot of the cost of this product goes into the dry ice, the Styrofoam packaging and the delivery itself. There's also a fair bit of waste produced by all the packaging here, which is unfortunate. I was a little sceptical on the taste but they actually were very tasty. You get 3 different flavours with 5 smoothies in each box that comes frozen and just needs to be popped straight in the freezer till you want to use them. When I saw the price of these I did think it was rather expensive but when you workout how much it would cost to buy all the ingredients it actually works out to be a little cheaper. I think these would be great if you’re trying to lose weight and also start the day in a healthier way.
