So worth it !
Great stain, we used the liquid wood in light wood and then this stain over it, we bought the wood grain tool but preferred the brush strokes from a paint brush. Still looked amazing once complete. You can't even tell they are painted and it looks like real wood. Have not sealed yet.

Highly recommend
Very easy process!! The longest part is the dry time. So much better than sanding!!

Easy to ise and forgiving when making a mistake
I had a kitchen table top that was the old orange color stain so I bought a Retique It kit with the stain and wood grain tools. It turned out pretty good. I messed up on one side with the grain tool but it was easy to reapply the stain and redo. A light sanding before starting, no need to remove old stain first and lots less work involve. I definitely recommend Retique It.

Please don’t buy
Please don’t buy, It supposed to be a gel but it’s more like a liquid. I tried it on my ash wood kitchen table and it looks horrible. Very blotchy .. i stirred it and put it on as directed.

Brilliant way to refresh cupboards or furniture.
The birch custom built 1952 kitchen cupboards are an orange that gets worse with age. This product has given them new life. The ease of application is what attracted me. Stripping then sanding then staining, oh no. I scrubbed and/or gave a slight sanding before application. They now look fresh and clean and are ready for the next 70+ years.

Pricey, but worth it!
Gorgeous color and goes on with great coverage. While it was a little pricey, it is great quality.

LOOKS EXPENSIVE!!!
Applied after using their wood paint. Exceptional! I used the wood grain tool after reading and following all directions. It is time consuming, but the results speak for themselves! It looks expensive and it’s held up well! The only downside I’ve found is that it comes busted due to its cheap packaging (not Amazon’s fault). I still used it, and I love the way it turned out!!

DIFFICULT PRODUCT TO USE. EXPENSIVE
Water this down before you use it. Trust me. It goes on thick, dries quickly and then looks terrible. Watering it down gives you more of a graining effect and gives you time to fix errors because it will take longer to dry. I don’t think I’d recommend this to anyone just learning how to use it because it’s really expensive. Save time and money, buy a water based stain at hardware store.
