These shot-off valves are a game changer. I no longer have to go to the water spout to turn off the valves on my manual sprinkler heads. I can it now directly at the sprinkler head. The rubber turn knob is easy to open and close and let the ball valve do its thing. Once closed, there was no leak evidenced. It is made of brass which is the first choice in gardening accessories for its durability and corrosion resistance. There is two shut-off valves and 4 extra O-rings included. It lets you swap the sprayer for the sprinkler with the water on. It also works a bit as a sprayer. Well made, screws on easily. Does not leak. Valve handle is smallish but easy to turn. You get two for a fair price, so use one and keep the other for when the first one gets misplaced. Save the extra hose washers too. Nice little product.

These shutoffs work great on the hose end of a garden hose. They make it so that I can change nozzles, sprayers, etc without having to go back to the spigot to turn the water off. The large handle helps to easily turn the water on and off. They seem to be well made. They do not leak and come with extra gaskets.

I bought this part for my pressure/soft wash equipment because, when I do several jobs a day and move the machine, I need to disconnect and connect the hose quickly. With threaded hoses, I've already wasted time tightening and untightening. With this system, I can shut off the water flow and disconnect/connect in seconds. In practice, I've found it very efficient, especially when changing water points or working in areas like the pool deck. What works for me: The integrated water shutoff and quick connect speed up work and reduce unnecessary downtime. What I would improve: I would prefer a stainless steel version (to prevent rust and degradation), better interior rubber, and a way for the black plastic exterior to not "burn"/harden with use and eventually crack. An all-metal version would probably last longer.

Let's see. What do you say about a brass hose coupler with a shut-off valve in it? Ummm, it works? It's brass, so there's that. It's built well. It was easy to put on my garden hose and it fit fine. Overall I would recommend.
