I normally just buy an umbrella from the pound shop and replace it when it breaks. However in recent times it seems that I have only really got one use out of those umbrellas as the standard of quality has gone right down! Therefore I decided to invest in a more expensive umbrella, taking a gamble that the quality would be far superior. After trawling through the many options available I decided that this one seemed to be the best one for me. The fact that it is such a beautiful color was an added bonus. It arrived on time and beautifully boxed (it would.make a lovely gift). I was still unsure as to whether it was worth 13 times the price I normally paid, but it felt very sturdy and well made. I just had to wait for it to rain. When I did need to use it, it was excellent. It opens automatically with a button (it also closes with a button), leaving you a free hand and it felt stable even in the wind (at this point my previous umbrellas would have turned inside out about ten times as soon as I opened them in the wind and would have continued to do so until I closed them!!!). I can't tell you what a joy it was not to have to battle with the umbrella. The simple opening and closing, the fact that it stayed open and kept me dry was fantastic and the lovely colour was mood enhancing and stylish. It now justs needs to prove to me that it can last at least 13 times longer than my old ones did!!! I am optimistic that it will.

I don't tend to use umbrellas much because I always lose them, I find them irritating in use, as a street obstacle when used by other people and because they're another thing to carry in an already full bag. However, my overcoat for work doesn't have a hood and so I thought I should get a small-ish umbrella (never one of those obnoxious golf brollies!). I can report that: - the umbrella is a sturdy bit of kit. It's actually quite heavy compared with similar sized ones you'd find in your high street stores at the same price (e.g. M&S) - I used it on a fairly windy day, and it held up perfectly well. Others' umbrellas were being turned inside out, so it's definitely better built than some. However, it was only fairly windy - no more than 20mph. - I suspect it won't handle 60mph winds, but if it does, you'll likely be lifted off the ground as there are no vents in the canopy to let wind pass through. One would probably prefer for it break. - I have, as per, lost it. However, it is the same price as the cheapest options on the high street, and much better than those, so if I replace the umbrella, it'll be with another one of these.

Good quality umbrella. Very well presented in a hard case making it perfect for a gift. The umbrella also comes with a protective bag to carry around. I got it in a purple colour but you have plenty of options to chose from. Sturdy and resistant product making the umbrella a bit heavier than my previous one. This is a bit unfortunate since everyday you see more and more low weight umbrellas in the market and adds a negative point towards this product. Once I opened the umbrella I was amazed. super easy to open and close. Some umbrellas you need to struggle and make an effort to open them or close them but, this umbrella allows you to do it without much effort. Good hand grip at the bottom of the canopy. I have used the umbrella in the past few days since it has been raining non stop. Overall I am happy with how it works and how resistant this umbrella has been. The only reason I don't give it a 5 stars review is because at the top holds a bit of water and if you are not careful when using you can get yourself or someone else a bit wet. I'm not sure if it is part of the model or a defect in mine but I wish that it didn't do that. Other than that the product is just as described by the seller and it looks just as the images in the site. I have added some extra images to support that.

This umbrella is nice and compact. The box that it comes in is really stylish and very presentable to give it to someone as a gift. The umbrella is really strong at keeping its shape and doesn't bend in strong winds. The umbrellas material makes the water run straight and it doesn't soak through. It is lightweight so easy to carry for long periods of time. The blue and black colour is really nice and goes well with other colours. The automatic opening button works quickly and is easily put up in seconds. It's also very quick and easy to put down and away. When the umbrella has fully opened the canopy is of generous size for one person and can also do two people. The price is very reasonable for such a high-quality product.

The first time I opened the umbrella, the poppers broke that keep it together when it’s closed. Not great for a ‘durable’ umbrella. The rest of the umbrella is really sturdy, not light but perfectly fine for day to day.

Very nice umbrella, looks and feels top end quality. Came in a really nice presentation box so suitable for gift giving. Overall quality is great, seems sturdy without it being heavy. Pros: + Excellent open and close mechanism, just press the button on the handle once to open and then again to close. + Good size fits in the car door and will fit in a medium size handbag + Good solid frame - No vents/flaps so will see if it withstand gusts of wind + Nice sleeve/cover, made from same fabric as the umbrella + Nice curved shape handle, can easily get a good grip and don't need to worry about it slipping when wet Cons - Still have to push umbrella down after it collapses in order to re-open it again. So far the nicest umbrella i've got

Living in London it’s necessary to have a great umbrella and this did the job for the first 6 months or so. Then the rods moved out of place which made little holes and meant water would seep in when in use (picture displays rust where water was coming through). No point in using it anymore as it’s not fit for purpose. I’m quite surprised as it does feel durable but doesn’t last very long unfortunately and not worth the money. I would hope I would receive another one as the supplier mentioned a guarantee and to reach out if any issues arise. Please send me another one as it was doing a great job the first couple of months and well sturdy.

I’ve only had this for a couple of days so haven’t actually used it yet. There are several of this type of umbrella on Amazon and I chose this one over the others because it was sold via Amazon Prime. I have tested the open/close mechanism and it’s very impressive. If it continues to work well, I will be delighted. If the mechanism fails, (as some reviewers have reported) I shall return it under the Prime guarantee. The weight and dimensions are given online and mine is black so I can’t comment on the colour differentials. I have deducted one star for the unnecessary packaging. It comes in a substantial, smart presentation box - which will go straight into the recycling bin. It does have its own self- fabric sleeve, as well as a cellophane wrapper. Who needs a posh box for an umbrella??
